Curation: “the action or process of selecting, organizing, and looking after the items in a collection or exhibition.” In this post-modern life, curation has taken new forms, one being known as “digital curation” which is best defined as: “The selection, preservation, maintenance, collection and archiving of digital assets. Digital curation establishes, maintains, and adds value to repositories of digital data for present and future use. This is often accomplished by archivists, librarians, scientists, historians, and scholars.” Outside of traditional and new age media outlets, @liljupiterr s selection of content flows along a subversive zeitgeist, highlighting what could best be described as a reflection of our culture from a collective viewpoint. This collaborative project came into existence as a result of our notice of @liljupiterr ‘s unique ability to curate within a subculture that simultaneously echos the pulse of the daily and ever changing digital landscape. As written on the T-shirt, Abc. considers @lilJupiterr an “Advisor of Cultural Curation.”
This project represents two worlds colliding. The intersection of art and sport. @russwest44 connection to the inner cities of Los Angeles and Abc.’s connection to the arts spurred the idea to create the natural alignment between the two and @innercityarts While this T-shirt represents many things at once, one message that is incredibly important to everyone involved is the association between youth culture and opportunity. Historically, becoming an athlete was the definition of success and the singular road out of an inner city. But today more than ever, that is not the case. This is the notion that we wanted to shed light on. As president @barackobama once said “but our kids can't all aspire to be LeBron or Lil Wayne.” They shouldn’t want to and with organizations like @innercityarts, they don’t have to. We want to give a special thanks to @jonasbrwood for taking part in this project and lending his basketball artwork. The white T-shirt will be releasing on Advisoryboardcrystals.com and they grey T-shirt will be releasing on honorthegift.co tomorrow at 8am pst. 100% of proceeds will be donated to @innercityarts Photo shot by Abc.

@k11artfoundation “Glow Like That” exhibition tote bag available on-site only. Our canvas tote bag features glitter screen print and signature straps. One side features the @k11artfoundation and Advisory Board Crystals logo, while the other features the sculptural/ready-made aspect of our “Specimen Series” works.
“Specimen Series, #3” Canvas, dye, natural mineral specimen, clay, acrylic paint. Dimensions variable. Commissioned by @k11artfoundation The artwork began with the crystal specimen as a readymade and follows its various forms and implementations from crystal specimen, to crystal infused canvas. Each canvas features our authenticity hologram and crystal infusion advisory label that parallels the feature on each t-shirt. The intentional excess canvas runoff hanging from the bottom of the work will be utilized by cutting away throughout the duration of the exhibition through “cutting ceremonies” that are triggered by the conclusion of each countdown clock. The 2” x 2” canvas swatches that are cut off will then be sewn onto the corresponding “Specimen” t-shirt, organically connecting art & commerce. The specimen series is now on view at the @k11artfoundation in Hong Kong with T-shirts available at the exhibition. Stay tuned for global access.

This is the initial concept drawing for Advisory Board Crystals’ “Specimen” series by @remington and @heatherhaber commissioned by the @k11artfoundation for their upcoming exhibition “Glow Like That.” These works analyze the couples approach to proprietary processes and the examination of the relationship between the “real” and the “fake.” Expanding on the Abc. studios crystal infused dye process, the first three works in this “Specimen” series visually separate the core crystal specimen as a “readymade” object from the earth and the crystals alternate form through the use of crystal infused dye. Each crystal specimen is wrapped in a sculptural exoskeleton self, which is elaborated upon by way of dyed canvas. The commonality from crystal, to exoskeleton, to canvas has a natural sense of lineage. The stretched canvas has additional runoff which has been intentionally left for a “cutting ceremony.” Ceremony details and global access coming soon.

Five years ago yesterday, we remember the passing of Nelson Mandela. 100 years ago this year, an icon was born. Together, in partnership with @glblctzn and @thehouseofmandela we celebrate his life. Nelson Mandela embodies the mentality, ideals, and traits of what we feel being an “indigo spirit” represents. Challenging and standing up for what you believe in, not falling into a formulated and broken system, and making the world a better place by contributing your own unique perspective. This T-shirt is much more than a T-shirt. It represents a set of ideals and a partnership for a greater cause. It is the relationship between Nelson Mandela and making those today aware of what kind of person he was; hopefully sparking that same energy in the people we reach through this shirt. The planets orbit around the oversized Global Citizen logo with an almost invisible glitter text that reads “my identity transcends geography or political borders and my responsibilities or rights are derived from membership in a broader class known as humanity.” (As taken from the description on @wikipedia defining the idea of a “global citizen.”) This year celebrates the 100 year anniversary of Nelson Mandela and this past weekend the world celebrated the GLOBAL CITIZEN FESTIVAL MANDELA 100 in Johannesburg South Africa. 100 shirts were made in honor of Mandela’s centennial. Stay tuned for release details. #Mandela100 #GCmandela100
Inspired by Andy Warhol’s “Camouflage Series,” 1987 and created exclusively for the shop at the @whitneymuseum in celebration of the “Andy Warhol from A to B and Back Again” exhibition, Abc. has created a series of 5 unique screen printed designs on long sleeve t shirts in varying color ways and camo styles. Utilizing the process that #Warhol did in his series, Abc. went to their local surplus store to find vintage and new camouflage garments, photographed them, modified them digitally to create imperfections and new color ways, leaving traces of Abc.’s D.I.Y. approach in the translation of the print. Each long sleeve t shirt is hand numbered in limited editions of 100 and features Abc.’s signature info label, back pull-tab, holographic authenticity sticker, and contrast stitching. There will be 5 singular releases throughout the duration of the exhibition, leaving each design to stand alone while in turn, creating a complete series. Available exclusively in person at the #whitneyshop today
Michael Chow, wearing an Abc. long sleeve t shirt inspired by the exhibition “Andy Warhol - From A to B and Back Again” in partnership with the shop at the @whitneymuseum at the Whitney Museum of American Art Shot by @remington & @heatherhaber More so than any other restaurant in history, Mr. Chow’s has been inextricably linked to the contemporary art world since it’s inception. For example, Cy Twombly is responsible for the famous logo on all the plates and the original matchbooks feature a logo design by Ed Ruscha. A seemingly innumerable amount of legendary aspects cement the restaurant as an art world mecca and Michael, better known as M, as a cultural icon. In the 80s, the Mr. Chow’s on 57th street in New York was frequented by Andy Warhol, whose portrait of Michael Chow can be seen in this photo and on view now at @whitneymuseum exhibition “Andy Warhol- From A to B and Back Again” Michael Chow has even been the subject of many artworks from Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, David Hockney, Jean Michel Basquiat, Helmut Newton, and Ed Ruscha. Many of which can be seen within the Mr. Chow locations around the world. Stay tuned for release details. #whitneyshop

We are proud to present the “Life Cycle” sweatshirt, in collaboration with @aiww, @theirc (International Rescue Committee), and @marcianoartfoundation. Available now, exclusively at the Marciano Art Foundation (link in bio). 100% of the proceeds from the purchase of each sweatshirt will benefit the IRC. Founded in 1933 at the request of Albert Einstein, the IRC responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises, helping to restore health, safety, education, economic well-being, and power to people devastated by conflict and disaster. Coinciding with Ai Weiwei’s current exhibition at MAF, the sweatshirt is representative of our breakdown of the ideal “life cycle” based on Weiwei’s ideas on the perfect reality. It illustrates the idea of the importance of universal synchronization of the hearts and minds of humanity. Our graphic visualization of this idea invokes a child-like nostalgia in its raw, simplistic nature. As stated by Ai Weiwei, “Establishing the understanding that we all belong to one humanity is the most essential step for how we might continue to coexist on this sphere we call Earth. I know what it feels like to be a refugee and to experience the dehumanization that comes with displacement from home and country. There are many borders to dismantle, but the most important are the ones within our own hearts and minds—these are the borders that are dividing humanity from itself.” The IRC has partnered with Ai Weiwei previously for his film “Human Flow,” a documentary about the global refugee crisis. We are excited to introduce not only this sweatshirt but what will be an ongoing partnership with the IRC. Each hoodie numbered. Edition of 110.
Abc. x Wikipedia x Wayne Available now for 12 hours Our official collaboration with @wikipedia follows Wayne's now famous exclamation in 'Tha Carter V' announce video "Wiki Me Bish." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKWrzGKZoaQ (1:10m mark) This maximalist design is the visual interpretation of Lil Wayne’s Wikipedia page. We will donate a portion of our proceeds from this shirt to the Wikimedia Foundation, the nonprofit that supports Wikipedia and helps keep knowledge free.
AVAILABLE NOW LINK IN BIO The idea is Wayne meets Abc. The center graphic is a reinterpreted version of a found vintage graphic with the idea of merging Wayne (thc) with Abc. (crystals) for “Better living through Chemistry.” The overall graphic is a reworked info graphic via NASA, speaking to the rhythm of the earths magnetic field. The rhythmic idea plays on the entire world listening to music, specifically Tha Carter V. The arrow on the left is the entry point of the earths frequency funneling into the holographic vinyl which is surrounded by information touching on just how the frequency passes through and is tuned into a creative frequency. Better living through Chemistry. The result of that tuned frequency is the ability to be creative and exist at any and all of our maximum potentials. For Wayne and the world, the end product illustrated here is Tha Carter 5. The back graphic is the soon to be iconic Carter “V” comprised completely of “Abc.” logos. The sweatshirt features, screen print, embroidery, and rainbow holographic elements. Congratulations @liltunechi BODY TEXT READS: The Earth behaves like a gigantic electrical circuit. Its electromagnetic field surrounds and protects all living things with a natural frequency pulsation of 7.83 hertz on average. 7.83 hertz is also the human brain’s average alpha frequency in electroencephalography. Alpha waves, just one of the five types of brain waves, induce relaxation but not quite meditation — a state where we begin to tap into the wealth of creativity that lies just below our conscious awareness. Tuning our brain waves to the planet’s pulse is not only healthful (as is tuning out, unhealthful) for us but it might be connected to the beginning of life itself. The natural electromagnetic patterns of the Earth, act like a tuning fork not just for the biological oscillators of the brain but for all processes of life. It is possible that we are able to actively tune into that natural frequency with the assistance of other vital organic elements, such as crystals and plants, via their medicinal properties to amplify and create new life.

ADVISORY: 100% percent of the proceeds from this shirt will be donated to @littlesunenergy. The Little Sun Foundation is a not-for-profit organization founded by artist @studioolafureliasson to bring light to the most vulnerable communities – especially urgent given the record-high number of displaced persons around the world. Little Sun raises funds to bring solar light and phone charging to refugee camps and to students. They also offer programmes on solar energy that broaden the reach of climate education. The design for the shirt is built off of Olafur’s concept of the tripod of the art institution, artists (Abc. and Olafur), and the audience joining forces for a stellar and solar tomorrow. The collaborative shirt touches on the sustainable development goals most relevant to the little suns efforts. When read from top to bottom the layout functions similarly to a flow chart leading back to the goal of working together for a stellar tomorrow. The Abc. + Olafur Eliasson collaborative t-shirt for the Little Sun Foundation is available exclusively at the Marciano Art Foundation in Los Angeles. The release overlaps with the final weekend of Olafur’s installation “Reality Projector.” Visitation for the Marciano Art Foundation is free but requires a timed reservation made online. As tickets are sold out through September, you may email the foundation below to order a t-shirt which will grant you access for pickup. For those not located in Los Angeles, you may also place an order via email. The email is: email@example.com. The shirt features screen print, puff print, matte and holographic vinyl, the Abc. “Authenticity Label,” signature pull-tab and numbered Abc. “Information Label.” 80 of the total 108 shirts will be made available to the public. We believe there are many ways to change the world. This is one of them. Thank you for your contribution to the Little Sun foundation.

Military Pant” includes magnetized side pouch pockets, front EMF protective pocket, glitter button fly, paracord bottom hem, and magnetized quick release buckles at the waist.
SHIRT 1. “Abc. Visions,” a view of the internal. The health of your body is one of the keys to eternal youth. Care for yourself from the inside out to maintain optimal human performance. Visually, a skeleton signifies death. In this case, it is about life. SHIRT 2. “Youth Home” The irony of an old age home for those who are eternally young. Is that Abc.? Can we affect change and save those that are lost? Through knowledge we intercept wayward youths. SHIRT 3. “Living Well” Youth is comprised of many things and the health of your spirit is one of those. Let no one break your spirit, as they will try. The world is a poison apple. Rather than offer your own in retaliation, stop the cycle. End the hate. Living well is the best revenge.
The “Life Chart” t-shirt ties the conceptual idea of eternal youth - (living forever) - into the reality of advancing technologies through science. Bridging concepts from a dream like world into reality is something we at the Abc. Studio strive for. T-shirts feature screen print with individually placed vinyl detailing, signature pulltab on back neck, and exclusive “Eternal Youth” neck label.
The Abc. Studio Nike Air Force 1 was a challenge presented to us by @Nike. In what way could we take a pre-existing and pre-manufactured shoe and create something intrinsically Abc. Something not only functional but beautiful. Designed and conceptualized in Los Angeles and Manufactured in Ferrara Italy, the Air Force one features adjustable magnetic closures on our signature pull tab strap, crystals encapsulated in the footbeds of each shoe, reinforced pull-tabs on the tongue and heel, vinyl encapsulated Abc. For those interested, we present our “Eternal Youth” collection exclusively for Slam Jam Milano. “Eternal Youth” is the concept of human physical immortality free of ageing. The youth referred to is usually meant to be in contrast to the depredations of aging, rather than a specific age of the human lifespan. Achieving eternal youth so far remains beyond the capabilities of scientific technology. However, much research is being conducted in the sciences of genetics which may allow manipulation of the aging process in the future. Eternal youth is common in mythology, and is a popular theme in fiction. Within the collection we play with the concept of evading aging in both literal and metaphorical ways through Abc. Studio health practices, advancing scientific technologies and pseudoscientific aspects of preservation, alongside factual and literal interpretations of youth. Keeping the body AND mind young is an essential part of Eternal Youth. Stimulation of the psyche via arts, culture, and visual cues like color, play an essential role in this process. The painter pajamas are just one indication of the above. Ideas like the “Grandmothers Couch (bag)” evaluate the conceptual nature of infinity. Constructing a couch fabric into a bag and wrapping it in vinyl is a nod to the nostalgic and ironic nature of a grandmother covering their couches in plastic in order to preserve them. This is both primal and nostalgic while simultaneously being futuristic and scientific. Other present aspects of preserving overall health are EMF protective pockets found throughout the collection. The pockets are signified by our “pulse” Abc. logo. “Eternal Youth” is available exclusively at The Fountain of Youth installation now at Slam Jam Milano and available online this Thursday, 7/19.
These “Studio Flannels” are each hand dyed in the Abc. Studio using our proprietary crystal-infused dye process. Each feature a “CRYSTAL INFUSION” label on the bottom inside back hem, vinyl logos on chest and center back, and holographic glitter buttons. Part of “Eternal Youth” exclusive for @slamjammilano Releasing online 7/19
“Eternal Youth Elixir No. ∞” Made in collaboration with Furnace Creek Farms. This powerful elixir utilizes medicinal herbs and adaptogens including Ginkgo, Borage, Spilanthes, Ashwagandha, and Tulsi for their anti inflammatory properties, phytonutrients, and ability to boost antioxidants into the immune system for superior functionality on the pathway to Eternal Youth. Can be taken twice daily forever or as a supplemental part of a 7 day regimen to your Eternal Youth reform.
For those interested, we present the Abc. Studio Nike Air Force 1. An official custom with @Nike for @slamjammilano. An essential aspect of “Eternal Youth” is keeping the mind young. Through taking part in daily creative practices and experiencing culture with the arts, the stimulation of the mind saves the body. Overlapping beliefs with @nike, “If you have a body, you are an athlete,” this thought completes the essential yin and yang of mind/body stimulation. As dye, paint, and other elements of our work have become synonymous with Advisory Board Crystals, this all white completely pristine shoe signifies the very beginning of the creative process. At its best, your personal shoe will end up with paint spatters, dirt marks, creases, and stains. All made by you. Not us. This defines authenticity. Rather than a pre-made, mass manufactured version of someone else’s creative process. This is your creative process, your expression. Whatever stage of the creative process you find yourself, these shoes are meant to support the minds and bodies of those with non-complacent ideals. The shoe features a laceless body with ergonomic magnetic pull-tab straps, box stitch reinforced pull-tabs on the tongue and heel, pearl strand, removable Abc. “crystal” bracelet (to be worn on wrist or shoe), Abc. authenticity label, and clear vinyl crystal pockets within the insoles. Each insole allows for interchangeable crystal options allowing for pseudoscientific support of any kind needed by the wearer. This official custom Nike Air Force 1 for Slam Jam Milan is available through raffle on @slamjammilano Instagram account now.

FREE HOODIE WITH PURCHASE OF ZINE. LIFE SAVING INFORMATION; for those interested. Releasing today at Barneys Beverly Hills and on Barneys.com The dissemination of knowledge is a key focus of the Abc. Studio. Through the unwavering pursuit of a better understanding of life and the refinement of our studio practices, we encounter ways to allow our findings to enrich the lives of those who believe in us and in our own way, change the world. Today we present to you LIFE SAVING INFORMATION. We have collaborated with Early Warning Labs out of Los Angeles. They are developing the first early warning earthquake system (EEW) for the United States. The project involves various government agencies including the USGS and ESRI. The projects academic partners include Caltech, Berkeley, The University of Oregon, and The University of Washington. Our idea of a university, The Advisory Board Crystals Institute of Arts & Sciences, is the most recent addition to academic partners on this project. Through our own institutes cultural partners and research we are bringing awareness, knowledge and information about what to do in an earthquake and shedding light on this potentially life saving system, a system which will soon be available as an app on your phone. The zine contains potentially life saving information and this information being as important as it is cannot be ignored. The early warning app has the ability to warn people up to 90 seconds in advance of an earthquake and in turn potentially save your life. The sweatshirt has a qr code printed on the front, which with your iPhone camera can be directly downloaded on the app store. This not only enables easy access for you, but also for others. Those that successfully purchase a zine will have priority access to the app when it launches. This is not only important because of the fact that earthquakes happen in LA, but because “the big one” is all but guaranteed to happen within the next 30 years.
