The message that we remember from the movie "Field of Dreams" is a message of hope: If you build it, they will come. And that is the message of our campaign. Things seem impossible until we make it happen, and if we stand together, we can fulfill the dream of this country.
The rumors are true. I’m being recruited by the Dodgers.
Is this heaven? No, it’s Iowa. It was a beautiful evening to lead Team Revolutionaries at the iconic Field of Dreams.
Bernie and our campaign staff are playing a game of softball at Iowa’s iconic Field of Dreams today. To celebrate we made a limited-edition Bernie Sanders baseball card — and it can be yours with a donation of any amount! Get your card at the link in bio.
We will not have real justice until there is serious reform of our racist criminal justice system.
Nelson Mandela said, "It is said that no one truly knows a nation until one has been inside its jails." Today we released a plan to fundamentally transform our racist and punitive criminal justice platform. Read it at the link in bio.
We must legalize marijuana nationally, expunge past marijuana convictions and ensure revenue from legal marijuana is reinvested in the communities most impacted by the failed War on Drugs.
Steve King should not be in Congress.
Our momentum is continuing to build. We are going to win the election and create a country that works for all of us, not just the 1%.
This campaign is not just about me. It's about us. Together we will defeat Trump and transform the country. Download the BERN app from the App Store or Google Play and record a #MyBernieStory to tell us why you're part of this movement!
Thank you to everyone at the Iowa State Fair for coming out to the Soap Box. This is the moment that history will judge us by. This is the moment to stand up to racism and bigotry. This is the moment to create an economy that works for all of us. And we’re building the movement to do just that and defeat Donald Trump. #NotMeUs
Mark my words: We are going to defeat Donald Trump and beat him badly.
You can't run a government by rejecting science.
Racism, religious bigotry, homophobia and xenophobia are not new. They have been with us since the founding of the country. But having a modern American president so actively promote hatred is new and must not be accepted.
Together we are all going to build the nation based on love and justice we know we can become. #NotMeUs
There are more than 5 million assault weapons out on the streets of America, which is more than the U.S. military has. That is insane. We must ban the sale, distribution and transfer of assault weapons in the United States.
Getting some practice while in San Diego. Have to stay sharp in the offseason.
"Cynicism is our biggest enemy, perhaps bigger than Trump... That cynicism didn't come out of nowhere. We've been told for a long time we couldn't have nice things." Bernie 2020 National Press Secretary Briahna Joy Gray and @jfavs discuss turning out nonvoters to defeat Trump on this week's Hear the Bern: berniesanders.com/podcast
I am proud to say that zero billionaires have donated to our campaign.
We cannot allow this cancer to grow.
A trip to Ruby’s becomes a chance for one more town hall.
Mr. President: it’s not about what you say. It’s about what you do.
Last night, I was with Ilhan Omar when we heard people at Trump's rally were chanting “send her back." To my surprise, Ilhan was pretty unfazed. Sadly, as she told me, she has been dealing with this kind of hatred and racism for a long time. Ilhan Omar is a leader with strength and courage. She won’t back down to Trump’s racism and hate, and neither will we. So today, I want to ask you to do something important that will help ensure her voice is with us in Congress for a long time to come: Can you split a contribution between Ilhan Omar’s re-election campaign and our campaign for president. Link to donate in bio.
I am sick and tired of talking to doctors who tell me about the patients who were uninsured and walked into the doctor’s office when it was too late. I am sick and tired of hearing from constituents who are forced to cut their pills in half due to the cost. I am sick and tired of talking with people who are struggling with mental illness but cannot afford the mental health counseling they desperately need. I am tired of talking to people who have teeth that are rotting in their mouths, but cannot afford the high cost of dental care. Now is the time to tell the health care industry that your profits are not more important than the lives of the American people. Now is the time to pass Medicare for All.
Medicare for All means stability. You’ll never lose coverage.
You can’t change a corrupt system by taking its money. If we are going to break the stranglehold of corporate interests over the health care needs of the American people, we have got to confront a Washington culture that has let this go on for far too long. That is why I am calling on every Democratic candidate in this election to join us in rejecting money from the insurance and drug industries. Candidates who are not willing to take that pledge should explain to the American people why those interests believe their campaigns are a good investment. #NoHealthIndustryMoney
Happy Independence Day! Together, we will continue building the kind of nation based on love and justice we know we can become.
Happy Independence Day! Don't forget to stay hydrated and wear sunscreen 🌞
Getting our steps in! A pleasure to meet you at the West Des Moines Independence Day Parade.
On the road Iowa City ➡️ Des Moines. Contrary to President Trump’s belief, we have concluded that wind turbines do not cause cancer...
Donate any amount and we’ll send you this new FDR-inspired Bernie sticker! Link in bio. Bernie wants to continue President Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s vision of an Economic Bill of Rights to guarantee health care for all, education for all, and jobs for all. Join us in making that vision a reality today.

This campaign is about all of us--not billionaire donors and Super PACs.
No high-priced fundraisers. No super PAC. Our campaign is powered by you and the nearly 2 million donations we’ve received since our launch. Join us today at 7:30 p.m. ET for a live campaign update from @ninaturnerohio and campaign manager Faiz Shakir at live.berniesanders.com.
“Senator, can we do a back-to-back photo?”
To step on everyone else in order to become a billionaire, to lie and cheat and steal — that’s Trump’s world. Our world is the understanding that I’ve got to worry about your family, and you’ve got to worry about my family, that we are in this together. That’s principle Number 1. That we are community. That we cannot turn our backs when people are sleeping out on the streets, when kids are going to underfunded schools, when people have no health care. We’re in this together.
We will not allow Trump to continue to demonize Latinos and immigrants. We will defeat him and create a nation for all.
Thank you @ppact for having me at your forum to discuss how we protect the constitutional right to abortion in this country. When we talk about health care for all, that includes repealing the Hyde Amendment and guaranteeing every woman, regardless of income, the right to control her own body.
All smiles at @whipclyburn's World Famous Fish Fry!
It's time for a 21st Century Economic Bill of Rights.
It's easy for politicians to pound the table and talk about how tough they are. But it will not be the kids of billionaires who get killed in a war with Iran. It will be working class kids. We must work to solve this crisis with Iran diplomatically, not go to war.
What Eisenhower said 50 years ago is even more true today. We have to stand up to the military industrial complex.
Our campaign is the best to defeat Trump because it is rooted in human solidarity. Donald Trump is the most dangerous president in U.S. history. He is a racist, a sexist, a homophobe, a xenophobe and a religious bigot. He betrayed the working class to further enrich the wealthy. Together we will defeat him.
Let me make a prediction. Tonight after he begins his re-election campaign, Trump will not mention that he tried to throw 32 million people off their health care, or that he proposed massive cuts to Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security, or that his tax plan gave huge tax breaks to the top 1%. Just a guess. Tonight I will respond to Trump immediately after his speech. Tune in live on social media.
