The Marlborough Theatre” Open Noon to 7.30pm from 1st Feb to 9th Feb at @shed9dhanmill . @naturemorte_delhi.
The Marlborough Theatre opens 1st Feb and is on till 9th Feb at @shed9dhanmill . Presented by @motherland_jv and @naturemorte_delhi. It is an exploratory project, looking into Brighton’s practice and celebration of queer identity. Coming from India, where non-normative sexual expression is monitored and repressed, I have explored the theme of performance, of one’s self-identity, in relation to the body, gender, sexuality, and fantasy; in both public and private spaces. The title of the series is an ode to the historic pub and theatre in Brighton, which since the 1970s has been strongly associated and identified with the LGBT community. The project was initially commissioned by @photoworks_uk and #Focus festival as a collaborative project, “ Reimagine ”
Looking forward to be @indiaartfair for the signing of my book “ Where the flowers still grow “ On the 2nd of Feb at 3 pm @cmyk_bookstore followed by a discussion with Peter @naturemorte_delhi

Delhi 2004, Pitam Pura Tower, nearly 15 years ago, from “ Space in Between” at the time it reminded me of a post apocalyptic city, far away from the traditional India. Now, the over polluted smog and smoke still fills our lungs. #rencontresarles

BLUEPRINT, BOMBAY for @pleasuregardenmagazine Of a small house the master, I stand, my two hands held against wind and tide, digits wide, spread to the crease where splayed islands lie cowed by the sea of Araby, seven islands made one, stitched loose at the seams, whisper grim nothings once of the trees, now fodder for automobiles, quack of executive heels as island rows to maggot town, leech to permanent sun, smile of stupefied worm, turned, never done.
