“I mean, I’ve said it before. And I’ll say it again: if you go on an adventure, you have to take Katherine Center with you. Her books never fail to inspire me, captivate me, and teach me. I could not be more thrilled that Book of the Month picked ‘Things You Save in a Fire’ for a July book pick! If you haven’t picked up one of Katherine Center’s books, I highly recommend that you do it NOW! ‘Things You Save in a Fire’ releases on 8/13, but is available through Book of the Month now!🔥” Repost @pieladybooks

“Let me tell you about one of the most heartwarming, delightful books I just absolutely devoured in one day, ‘Things You Save in a Fire’ by Katherine Center, a July @bookofthemonth selection! This book follows Cassie, a female firefighter in a station not too keen on female firefighters, and the rookie she’s put in delightful company/competition with. A lovely story about forgiveness and acceptance, with a fearsomely strong protagonist, adorable and kindhearted love interest, and a collection of secondary characters you can’t help but love. Everything about ‘Things You Save in a Fire’ was feel good and I can’t recommend it enough! It publishes in August but you can snag it early with Book of The Month!” Repost @sweptawaybybooks

“BOTM always has amazing books to choose from and sometimes the choice can be hard. But every now and again, there’s a book that screams, ‘Me! I’m the one!’ And ‘Gods of Jade and Shadow’ was definitely that book for me. I didn’t even need to get past the ‘Mayan god of death...’ before I was all in. I can’t wait to read it. 😍” Repost @theliteraryllama

“Here’s a beautiful book cover to brighten up your day ☺️ This gorgeous novel is one of @bookofthemonth’s choices for July and I am really excited for it. I mean... Mexican folklore! Mayan underworld! God of Death! It all sounds wildly fascinating.” Repost @_livelaughread

“Finished ‘The Gifted School’ last night! I NEED this one to become a TV show. There’s so much going on that we’d be binge-watching it all day. I became so engrossed in the story after the initial build-up that I really didn’t want it to end. It was witty, fun, and so well-written. Add it to your summer list if you haven’t already!” Repost @juliawreads

“This book has been all over bookstagram since its release, and there’s a reason why...it’s super entertaining! It’s the story of privileged suburban parents who lose their minds over a new elite gifted school opening in their neighborhood. Naturally each parent has the smartest child who deserves to get into the school. It took me a while to figure out who was who (there are four main intertwined families, and then a key fifth family), but once I figured it out I flew through it. It’s a long book but stays engaging the whole time. Have you read it? What did you think?” Repost @jennysbookshelf

bookofthemonth

“I loved this book so much, it gave me that somebody is watching you creeped out feeling that I love when I read thrillers/horrors. Riley Sager is one of the best thriller writers out there today and this might be my new favorite book from him?? Idk I reaaaally loved ‘The Last Time I Lied’ too. But wow this novel is incredible don’t miss it! Have you read this book? What are your thoughts?” Repost @_myfictionalworld

bookofthemonth

What’s scary, twisted, and likely read in one sitting? Answer: A Riley Sager thriller! 😱 You don’t want to miss “Lock Every Door,” the latest from our very first 💫3peat 💫 author. You won’t see this ending coming—and it’ll have you jumping at the sound of creaky floorboards for days. 😅

“I love a good family drama. 🙌🏼 I loved how this book detailed each character’s different struggles with alcoholism, mental illness, friendship, the complications of family, and whether you can actually forgive and forget. I also appreciated how @marybethkeane pushed the story right along and never took too much time in each time period. Peter was my personal favorite character because of all of the people I really sympathized for him the most.“ Repost @the_og_kindle
