As interns, freelancers, managers, and CEOs, we all have the ability to help others and get their foot in the door. Whether that’s sliding their resume over to HR, or just taking a couple minutes to chat over the phone. And while we mourn revolutionary writer and professor Toni Morrison, we’re also grateful for the wisdom she sparked (and will continue to spark) for readers, writers, and people around the world.
We’re excited to work with global esports organization @gengesports to create Team Bumble: the first-ever all-women Fortnite esports team. Both Bumble and Gen.G have built communities of empowered women — and now it’s time to bring that women-first mentality into the gaming world, with full force. Read the full article at @adweek.
Our Monday fuel, and our reason to meet a new Bizz connection during lunch ☕️
Stop wondering “what if.” Fire up Bumble Bizz and give it all you’ve got.
And it’s okay if you’re still figuring out what you love to do. Writer, producer, and actor @issarae is our next mentor in our #LetsTalkBizz series. Whether you’re thinking about switching careers or just soul-searching, three lucky Bizz users (in North America) will leave with solid, honest advice from Issa. Get on Bizz and find her profile to enter. The contest ends August 4th!
Whatever motivates you to hustle harder, Bizz connects you to the people that can support your fur babies. 🐶🐱💪
They don’t have to be a mentor or life coach. It could be a coworker, or even the person you sit next to on the morning commute. A lot of people have gone further than they thought they could because someone else thought they could.
Originally, @whitney wanted to create an app where people could only exchange compliments. This kindness-first approach soon developed into the dating app that @bumble is today, with an empowered community built upon compassion, respect, and equality. Make sure to hear the rest of Whitney’s convo on @mastersofscale!

Innovator, educator, and part of our #MovesMakingImpact campaign, Baljeet Sandhu is a leading expert on children’s rights in asylum and immigration law. She established the Migrant & Refugee Children’s Legal Unit (MiCLU), to protect the rights of young people displaced by war, fleeing abuse and violence, and trafficking. Support Sandhu’s mission by connecting with others on @bumble — we’ll donate to her cause for every first message sent! Go to your Settings in-app to activate. We like to keep an inclusive office space here at Bumble HQ. (Just make sure to clean the wet countertops before you leave.) #bumblepride
Starting a family doesn’t mean it will stall your career. If anything, it can ignite it. Expectancy is fueling @whitney to extend benefits for working parents. This includes building a childcare space (complete with caretakers) in our new HQ and offering an additional stipend that can be used for, e.g., tutoring.
Soon after launching our pop-up Hives around the world, we realized users wanted a permanent safe and interactive space to meet their matches IRL. This fall, we're opening Bumble Brew in SoHo, Manhattan. Bumble Brew, our first-ever cafe, is where users can connect with each other over coffee or beer and keep the convo going beyond the app.
While women are burning up the music charts, they’re underrepresented on stage at music festivals. We’re working with our community to change that. 👩🎤Through Empowered by @BumbleBizz Music, we’re giving users the opportunity to be mentored by @SpaceyKacey, @BebeRexha, or @HayleyKiyoko — and the chance to perform at one of the top festivals next year. This competition is available to all women in the US! To enter, swipe until you see this profile in Bizz mode on Bumble. Submissions close June 30th, and winners will be announced later this summer!☀️🎵
We have an exciting new feature ✨🌏✨ You can now choose a cause you want to support on Bumble: human rights, public policy, or economic development. Learn more about this new feature and the women you’ll be supporting in our bio💫

One of the first things a mentor will share with you: imposter syndrome happens to everyone and it’s up to you to break free from it. You were hired because of your ideas, your unique experience - and yeah - you’re great at what you do! Connect with others on Bizz to share your stories and ways to manage the imposter syndrome that comes with every new job or role.
Connect with mentors, life coaches, future pop stars, and industry leaders who are eager to support your big idea or career change.
Show up for yourself. Speak up for yourself. Don't shut down your own ideas. Listen to your muse. Put yourself out there. Reach out to your connections. (via @aesthetic.xquotes)
Work friendships = a little married. And we definitely love it. Your new mentor/work spouse/collaborator/professional cheerleader is waiting for you on Bizz.
We needed this truth bomb today. Looking back at the week, it was never a matter of time but rather our inability to say no to the wrong things and to prioritize what's truly important in both work and life. (Art @HeyAmberRae)

Looking back, we’re glad we didn’t get that job. Because some of those ideas didn’t work out, we were able to pivot and work towards something bigger and greater. We failed a lot but eventually won some too. All of this required trusting the process. Keeping learning from the people you meet – especially those totally outside your industry. The connections you make will pay off in ways you can't plan for. (quote via @womenontopp)
Dany would most appreciate only women being able to make the first move. Whether you’re networking for your new business or to grow an army to defeat the dead, we’re here 💪🥶 #gameofthrones
Is anyone still getting the classic "strengths vs. weaknesses" question during interviews? We hope not! We'd love to hear the best question you've ever asked or been asked to asses a culture fit.
This is not a drill 🚨Global superstar @PriyankaChopra is building her team on Bizz this week! If you’re in the US or India, they are on the hunt for two individuals with some serious skills. Match with her profile for more info and the exclusive opportunity to apply.
You've probably heard of the gender pay gap, but what about the gender investing gap? Hear from @sallie.krawcheck, a former Wall Street banker who co-founded @Ellevest, an investment platform for women. Learn how her platform helps women who are losing out on hundreds of thousands of dollars over the course of their careers — and how she's working to change that. Question: which Jim prank is the best? False. All of them. Today could be renamed to National Jim Halpert Day. Should we dedicate a campaign to this? It might be just as important as our Bumble Fund 🤓

Glossier and Rent the Runway — two companies led by women— have been valued at upwards of $1 billion, making them "unicorns" in venture capital terms 🦄 This is progress we're proud of, as women-founded and -focused companies haven't been taken seriously by investors. Women still receive about 2% of all venture capital dollars — and for women of color, that percentage is far, far less. This is why we started Bumble Fund. We’re excited for a future when founders from underrepresented groups have the access to capital to get to unicorn status!
It’s nice to know we’re all going through this together 💪
When you push out judgment, intolerance, and hate, you’ll find that there’s room for everyone to succeed. So build a bigger table, bring in more chairs, and let love in – even during times that seem dark (Incredible art by @bradmontague)
LILLY, YOU ARE MAGIC ✨ Your videos, book, and just general existence reminds us to never stop going for it. We couldn't be more excited for you to be the first Asian woman to lead a late-night show! You're inspiring a new generation of young women and the LGBTQ community to see more of themselves on television. (via @iisuperwomanii) #BeTheCEO
How do women partners in business talk about money, delegate, hire, scale, fire, cope with burnout, and still hug it out at the end of the day. @EricaCerulo and @ClaireMazur, share their experience as friends and co-founders who broke down outdated stereotypes about women in the workplace in their new book, "Work Wife." Match with their card in Bizz mode this week on Bumble for a chance to win a private session with this inspiring duo started @ofakind! Our favorite moment during #BumbleSxSW so far: actress @OliviaWilde stopping by with her cast to chat about her directorial debut, coming-of-age comedy @Booksmart. What happens when women call the shots on set? Well, you can see for yourself. Check our Stories to be the first to watch the trailer. 📸 @chrislammert
Through Bumble Fund, we’re aiming to build a bigger table in the world of venture capital, investing early-stage and focusing primarily on businesses led by women of color and those from underrepresented groups. We’re committed to ending bias in venture capital and beyond. Apply now in the app for our next round of funding and meet the women we’ve funded to date. Stay tuned for more opportunities! #IWD2019 #WomensMonth
Inspiring women in Bizz, Dolly and Oprah edition 💪 We’ve come a long way since this throwback, and there’s much more to build for women in male-dominated industries. Because women report feeling outnumbered at work, we created a women-only option on Bumble Bizz to help women build their own communities. This new feature was driven by the demand of our women users. To get started, go to your settings and choose “women only” (you can change this back at any point).
We loved this advice from Hannah Beachler's speech last night for her historic win for the production design in Black Panther. This makes her the first African-American to be nominated and win in the category. (📸 Rick Rowell/Getty Images) #BlackHistoryMonth #BlackWomenBuilt #Oscars2019
Next steps are hard after you connect with someone but we love this mental hack from @reshmasaujani! 💥She's the founder and CEO of @girlswhocode and the recent author of Brave Not Perfect. Match with the card in Bizz mode this week on Bumble for a chance to win a private session with this wonder woman! (Plus, we'll be sending copies of her book to the first 50 people who enter!) #BraveNotPerfect #BetheCEO
Yesterday, @iamcardib made history as the first solo woman to win the Rap Album of the Year for “Invasion of Privacy”. She said, "I want to thank my daughter Kulture...I'm not just saying thank you because she's my daughter. When I found out I was pregnant, my album was not complete. I had, like, three songs I was for sure having. We [had] to get this album done so I could shoot these videos while I'm still not showing. It was very long nights...” #MoneyMoves #BlackWomenBuilt #Grammys #BlackHistoryMonth (via @cardib 📷 Mariano Vivanco)
We have to destroy the idea that things have to be done by a certain age. These are all made up rules. Success is personal, everyone has their own definition and timeline. (From our friends @TheFinancialDiet)
We're so excited to have @SerenaWilliams join the Bumble family - she embodies what it truly means to make the first move. And now, we're putting the ball in your court. For every first message sent in Date, Bizz, or BFF mode this week, we're donating to a cause close to her heart: the Yetunde Price Resource Center, launched in memory of her sister. The donation to YPRC will be used to empower women who are direct and indirect victims of senseless violence by ensuring they have the tools and resources needed to heal emotionally, spiritually, physically and financially. #InHerCourt #MakeTheFirstMove
