Was the term #DIWO - Do It With Others - coined by Furtherfield in 2006 to extend the Do-It-Yourself ethos of punk, Situationism, and early net art towards a more collaborative approach? Certainly it's at the heart of everything we do as a #cocreational #participative #distributed #collective #decentralised #collaborative arts organisation

Feminist Economics Yoga (FEY), 2018, Cassie Thornton, The Feminist Economics Department (The FED) 😑 Feminist Economics Yoga is a long-term project by Cassie Thornton where she combines feminist economics and kundalini yoga to support people as they heal their social and economic wounds and become strong enough to imagine a future that isn’t so hard to survive in. The aim of this combination of political ideas with physical practice is to use an ancient social technology (yoga) to uproot the internalized collective values associated with capitalism, which may have permeated us deeper than just our wallets. 😑 FEY is part of the exhibition 𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙮𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙧: 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙠, 𝙋𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚, 𝙎𝙪𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙫𝙖𝙡 open Sat - Sun 11-17:00 until 19 Aug 😑 #statemachines @playbour_wps

Hostile Environment Facility Training (HEFT), 2018, Michael Straeubig 🏢 In 2012, the UK Government began to establish its 'hostile environment' against people without permanent residency, including a 'deport first, appeal later’ policy and 'Go Home' vans. The hostile environment targets a wide range of areas and affects the lives of hundreds of thousands of people, regardless if they are 'legal' or 'illegal' immigrants, refugees or British citizens. HEFT offers visitors to the gallery a chance to take part in Hostile Environment Facility Training (HEFT), as HEFT believes that everyone should be able to create their own hostile environment. 🏢 HEFT is part of the exhibition 𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙮𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙧: 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙠, 𝙋𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚, 𝙎𝙪𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙫𝙖𝙡, Survival open Sat - Sun 11-17:00 until 19 Aug. 🏢 #statemachines @playbour_wps
