Happy Birthday to @Madonna, who received the Advocate for Change Award at the 30th Annual #GLAADawards in NYC. We love you ❤️
From @time: “Lil Nas X represents a more unified vision of the future, one in which a young queer black man can dominate popular culture by being unapologetically himself. ‘Everything lined up for this moment to take me to this place,’ he says now. ‘Not to sound self-centered, but it feels like I’m chosen, in a way, to do this stuff.’”

Our friend @joshuarush, who played Cyrus on Andi Mack, came out as bisexual in a thread on Twitter today. He wrote, “Instead of feeling the courage to tell you today that I am an out and proud bisexual man because of the character I played for four years, I feel that courage thinking of all of you, who felt emboldened by Cyrus to come out.” 💗💜💙

Dominic Conover's Catholic high school fired his counselor after she married her wife. Now, he's taking a stand: "LGBTQ+ youth, please hear me when I say this: I believe in you and you have amazing people standing up for you every day. You will get through this. I promise. To this day, Shelly’s Voice Advocacy Group continues to live out its mission of advocating for a better, more inclusive Catholic community. I urge each one of you to stand with us by writing a letter to a church leader asking them to change the way in which they treat the LGBTQ+ community. Join us in making sure the Catholic Church understands that LGBTQ+ youth matter. Join us in erasing the prejudice that LGBTQ+ students have to experience in their schools. Stand up and be a part of the change with us, unafraid.” Read his full @theadvocatemag piece at the link in our bio.
Two years ago today, Trump tweeted out a proposed ban on military service for transgender people, proving that his administration will stop at nothing to implement its anti-LGBTQ ideology - even if it means denying some of our bravest the right to serve. That night we took to the streets with other advocates and activists to oppose the ban and we’ve been using our media advocacy skills to fight the ban since.
