Light² Work. . . I have to admit, I was a bit (very) disappointed to see the size of the air units shrink massively in comparison to the originals, but was resigned to it happening. The shape at the front also pained me, but I guess we can’t get romantic in this day and age about shoes, much. The bonus is the toe smooths out slightly after a few wears and on foot. . . Also, when I first saw the Atmos pair, I thought they looked absolutely horrendous. Then all the PR events followed and made me borderline despise the pair. I was certain I wasn’t buying them. No on foot shot convinced me. Until I saw them in person, the panel construction and the colours are epic, still very much an acquired taste and they do still make me squint. . Great thing about the retro issues is the distinct lack of *cough* hype, meaning that all models are dropping in the sales, so big ups to @sevenstorehq for the recent bargains and rapid delivery! . . Yo @archive.dna you got any 1994 pairs tucked away for me?!?
♻️ 📸 Happy Fathers Day to all the dads out there and to the single mums holding down both sides . . . Most of all, Happy Birthday to my little lady sitting in this photograph, 4 years old today. ❤️🎉🎁🎉❤️
Still smiling at this one. . . Big big thank you to @la_sode & @nikesportswear for getting me involved in the project. It was super fun creating a detailed @microdudes scene based on Jasmine’s inspiration for the concept behind her shoe; her Summer day in Primrose Hill Park with @laurenroye_ and her local corner shop. . . To be honest, the photographs don’t do the scene justice at all. They were taken very hurriedly as I had to get it London immediately upon completion, so my apologies for that. If you fancy seeing it in person, head to @sizeofficial on Carnaby St. where it’ll be in a big fridge for few days.
So the @microdudes have always just been about a fun way to bring the details of a shoe closer to the eye of the viewer, by telling a little story and avoiding the mundane close up product shots, they’re not meant to be serious, or cool, or edgy. . . . . What better way to show off the insane detail and artisan craftsmanship that @alasdaircthomson has created on this solid marble @nike Air Max 90, by allowing Maud and the little folk to get involved. Ali started this and passed it over to the @microdudes to finish for the 30th Anniversary next year! It’ll probably take them till then to finish it. Ali, this is amazing mate! #microdudes . . . If you want to see it in person, head down to @sneakerser Flagship store in Glasgow and give the little folk a wave. 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Maud is the Ultra Boss, always running things. . #ULTRABOOST 19 #microdudes #ad @adidasrunning

Post & pre rain storm on Skye, after a wee morning walk.
‘Went tae Skye, borrowed a mates @arcteryx jaickit and jumped a Fairy’s waterfall’ . . ‘Did ye, aye’ #getitrightupye #premiumcontent #irony
Paid a wee visit to Skye again last week. . . It blew a hoolie and lashed horizontal rain. It was like someone pointed a pressure washer at my eyeballs. . . It stopped raining for a few minutes to chuck the drone up. . . Skye, I ❤️ you.
A sneaky soaking secret snout break. . July. Manchester in the rain again. . . 35mm. Ilford HP5
Same day in July. It stopped raining. . . Manchester. 35mm. Ilford HP5 #filmsnotdead
July. Manchester. 35mm. Ilford HP5 . . . Still tropical compared to Glasgow
Harold, are you sure there are no missing parts?! . . . @microdudes will always get there in the END. #microdudes
Last weekend I went to @sneakerness Cologne with the good people of @stockx . I was given the opportunity to create another new @microdudes scene for the event, the Wave Runner (currently fighting with Mars Yard for my favourite so far) and display 2 of my previous builds, the Mars Yard and Yeezy 350 Zebra. . . Let’s just say that these were testing to build, the Wave Runner in particular. Creating a scene that you can walk 360 degrees around is a completely different beast to constructing a scene for a framed composition. It was fun, but I’m not going to lie, it wasn’t easy. What you don’t usually get to see in the final photographs, is all the tape, glue, string, rods, wooden frames etc, all just on the outside of the photograph, holding the scene together. Having all those options stripped away made it mad tricky. . . That said, it was super fun to see everyones live reactions to the little folk. People casually walked past and then suddenly stopped as they spotted it wasn’t just a single shoe on display, they were drawn in close, face right up to the perspex, they adjusted their body positions, crouched down, took photographs, called over their friends, they smiled. That was THE best part, seeing people smile at the little folk. The perfect reaction. For me, the @microdudes are far from anything serious, just a fun way to visually convey part of the shoes narrative, and bring you a little closer to the detail. Thanks to everyone that stopped by and had a glance, I only introduced myself as Nick and never mentioned to anyone that I made them, so was super fun hearing peoples honest opinions. . . Big love to the homie @pangea for taking these shots at the end of the day when we could take the perspex covers off the displays. They’re difficult to capture and show the detail in just one or even a handful of images, I think I took one photograph on my phone, was enjoying the day too much. Here’s to making something so small, even bigger next time!
Still want the CP Made in Italy pair, without the Made in Italy price tag. 😑
I’ll skip the dye. My trousers probably look just as bad as dyed pairs anyway.
