Thank you so much Desana Middle School for being so welcoming and letting me speak to all of the students (around 1,000 of them!!)🤯 I spoke in front of some of their teachers over the summer and they were so inspired and eager to incorporate it into the school💗So their theme this year is, “The impact of many is greater than one” and they are all wearing matching shirts with their theme on it. Can’t wait to see what Desana does this year to make a change 🌟

It blows my mind that I have been #vegan for over a year 🌱😲WHAAAt This journey of love and compassion has been able to connect me with myself, the animals I love, and so many new friends I get to call my family💗 I am so glad to be a part of this movement and educate others about it too. If you have ANY questions, please feel free to ask away because I would love to answer them ⤵️
This Moana is headed back home from her adventures in London 🇬🇧
I had the best time working with @lush 🧼🛁 and getting to see how they make all of their products and see how sustainable they are 🍃 The have a whole center where they recycle their containers, bottle caps, and the molds they use for their products♻️They have a whole line of “naked” products that don’t have any plastic packaging, and provide reusable container to put them in🚫🧴 I learned so much about the products and all the details they put into everything, like the detergents used for the towels in their spas🧺and making sure all their ingredients are fresh and sustainable 🌍🌱 The people we met were so welcoming and kind 🥰 Thank you @lush_jonnie for being so incredible and making us feel a part of the Lush family.
We took a day trip to the Retreat Animal Rescue and I fell in love with the animals, the atmosphere, and the people 💗 These animals, these lucky few, were taken from all over and include all kinds of animals from all situations, tormented, abused, sick, injured and unwanted Many of these animals barely avoided slaughterhouses. I sat on the grounded and cuddled a chicken, and it broke my heart 💔that people don’t connect these loving creatures to the food on their plates🐔🍽 #This calf is 3 weeks old 🐮 He was planned to be shot and killed because he is a male calf and serves no purpose to dairy farms, but the Retreat Animal sanctuary took him into their loving hands 🤲💞 I fell in love with him the minute I saw him. #sanctuariesnotslaughterhouses
Filming has come to a close with @milliondollarvegan but I’ve had the best time exploring the city and getting to know the other kids and crew. Thank you @earthlinged for sitting and talking with us and being such a huge inspiration. @joey_carbstrong for doing such great work and stopping by to see us at the studio. These kids are all so incredible and continue to inspire me.
I’ve been having the best time with my Animal Hero Kids family in London. Eating marmalade (which was disgusting), running into bikes in the street, eating a TOOON of food, talking to a creepy dude on the street, and getting locked out of our hotel room making videos in the lobby.
How could I forget these incredible squad leaders! I’m so glad we all became so close and hopefully inspire our kids. I had the best time with all of you. Making our silly videos at dinner, spraying kombucha on Ramneek (I’m so sorry), playing rock paper scissors for a @_finalstraw_ and our sketchy walks around campus. Thank you for all that you do and for being some great friends to me. Love you all so much more than you know 💗 #ohbc2019
Thank you to all the amazing, influential adults from this weekend. I got to learn from the best emcee 📣 @gnarlybeachcleaner who keeps me super stoked whenever I am with him and always makes me feel so empowered to keep working. @rob_machado who is using his platform to spread awareness and bring environmental change. Thank you for talking with me about all you do and being an ally in our fight🤙🏼 @adriangrenier for bringing all of us together and inspiring all of the kids this weekend🌊 @danniwashington and @erinschrode for being my mentors and always been there for me even when I was first starting. They saw the spark in me before most people believed in me✨ @melatiwijsen who has been one of my biggest inspirations for so long and I am so lucky to have shared a panel alongside you. Keep up the incredible work and I cannot wait to see your film! @travelgirl196 from @unenvironment for always being the sweetest person and being so supportive🌎 You all have made such a huge impact on me this weekend, we’ve laughed, we’ve cried, but I am so glad to have so many people I can call my role models and friends. I miss you all already 🤧💓 #ohbc2019
Thank you to me gnarly #seahorsesquad for letting @_oneil_ and I be your mentors and leaders for the weekend! Cairo screaming “seahoooaaaarse” is still ringing in my ears but brings me so much joy. Thank you my little seahorses for one of my favorite weekends. #ohbc2019
So excited to be with my ocean hero family this weekend! Over 300 students across the world came together to help protect our oceans and I am so glad to meet so many inspiring kids. More pictures to come! #ohbc2019
Thank you so much to the teacher team at emPOWER this morning and for their incredible efforts to teach beyond the school standards and empower their students. I’m so grateful for all the impactful teachers I’ve had in my life and I know many of these teachers are going to make a huge difference in their classrooms. We collaborated during a workshop to implement projects in the classroom/schools I can’t wait to see their projects come together. @forsythcoschoolsga @juliehstern #forsythtandl #forsythpln #emPOWER

I protested today outside of the World of Coca-Cola Museum to bring awareness of the recent videos that surfaced of Fairlife (who claim to make humane milk) to be beating their baby calves. Coke owns Fairlife and now they have blood on their hands. Around 100 people showed up and I met some awesome kids who also work with @animalherokids #fairlifemilk #fairoaks #fairoaksfarms #fairlife
I am genuinely missing this amazing group of people more than anything 🤧 I’ve never felt so comfortable and loved. @hailethomas brought up the fact that she felt she lived two different lives, and I definitely feel the same way. People that go to school with me only see certain parts of me, because I never feel comfortable to share what I do (in fear of losing the friends for seeming to be bragging or make them jealous). But many of people I work with just see the “work” side of me and I never really show my youth (in fear of seeming childish). But these people right here, these six wonderful people, let me be myself, 100% of myself, with no fear, no restraints, but pure, genuine, unconditional love💗 #girliegang #love
“I wouldn’t be surprised if she blew up the school” - said my classmate - “Their clothing intimidates me” - said my teacher - In today’s world, I have heard a lot hate towards muslim people. That we are only terrorists. A threat to society. As a young muslim girl I have definitely seen it, whether it’s coming from classmates or politicians. I recently faced a problem at my school where a toxic friend was saying racist things about me to my friends. To be perfectly honest, it hurt me. I felt attacked and alone and only seen as different. But one FaceTime call from @mmadimasonn changed that for me. I sat there and broke down in front of her and she told me: “People can rent space in your head. Don’t let negative people rent space in your head, because they are worth it. Don’t cry for 5 minutes about something that won’t matter in 5 years. Your friends know the truth, and he isn’t making you look worse but is instead making himself look worse. So don’t let him take away your worth, because the only perfect person sees your worth and put you here for a reason.” I realized that I wasn’t seen as different. The people that matter in my life are there for me and are here to bring me up and not tear me down. My mentor and friend @erinschrode showed me that there may be people that try and bring you down because you are different, but others will help bring you back up and make you even stronger than before. So thank you to everyone that has been here for me. Bringing me up when others are trying to bring me down. Find friends that you can look up to, and that can give you advice. I have came out of this as a stronger person, and I have my close friends closer, and my toxic ones farther away.
This was a life changing trip 🌎 Going across the planet and seeing hundreds of youth speaking up empowered me and opened my eyes. Over 100 countries were represented and showed that young people across the globe are making their voices heard 🙌 Here is my speech for the Youthfull Festival, and if you want to watch the whole show (which I HIGHLY recommend 😏) than you can click the link in my bio. Hopefully my message inspires young people to not wait for the future and start today🌟👊🏼
The Tree of Life🍃 One of nature’s mysteries, a 400 year old tree that 32 feet tall and growing green leaves is in the middle of the desert with no water source nearby. May this tree show you that even if the odds are stacked against you, persevere and prove them wrong.
A little bit of inspiration for your week. Keep your head up high and show the world who you are ✨
The YouthFull Festival was absolutely amazing, and I got to spend it with magnificent people and new friends 💓 @safaathahmed @eddahamar @ankitkawatra @joetownsendtri Educating thousands of people on the SDG’s was truly incredible, and I am so grateful to be a part of it. Seeing so many people from all parts of the world sparks hope in me that the youth of the world are stepping up and making their voices heard 🌎
I stumbled across this quote, and I felt compelled to share it. There is a reason why you are here, and you may not know why or possibly you feel that you haven’t found your purpose yet, but that’s okay. Because nobody starts off knowing their mission here on Earth, but our mission ultimately finds us on our journey 🌟
(reuploaded because of quality 😅) Here is a short video of our adventures in Cuba and Cozumel. I tried my best to capture the beauty of these places, but these clips cannot compare to how stunning these places actually are 🌞🌴 Thank you @carnival for an unforgettable trip and for letting us explore a part of the world we never would’ve seen 🚢 (and this amazing music is by my good friend @michaelsdesserts 🤩) #wanderlust #travelgram #travel #photography #cruise #havana #cozumel #beautiful
I haven’t been everywhere but it’s definitely on my list... ... where to next? 🤷♀️ #travel #travelgram #wanderlust
We definitely sang “Havana “ waayyy too many times, but you can see from our faces how much joy Cuba gave us ☺️🇨🇺💓
Thank you Havana for your colorful architecture, extravagant history, bold culture, and classic cars. 🌸🚖🏰 - We got the opportunity to step back in time and you gave us an amazing experience. This was truly an unforgettable trip.
So excited to FINALLY announce @kashi new line of #kashibykids cereals! @hailethomas @valentinedarabian @therealsisteravenue @evanated and I had collaborated for over year to make sure these cereals as enjoyable, healthy, and sustainable for ALL. The final product of us being #awesometogether is three incredible flavors with superfoods; Cocoa Crisp, Honey Cinnamon, and Berry Crumble 🥣 💓 Kashi is giving young people a voice in corporate decision-making and hopefully leads an example to other businesses around the globe.
Going on walks like this make my heart sing. Nature is my stress reliever (which is important with school starting 😬) and enjoying the outdoors helps me appreciate this beautiful planet we call home 🍃 #naturephotography #photography
Getting up at 6am to go paddleboarding was so worth it with these amazing people. We pulled out so many things in this river, including a yoga ball. Three days of filming is finally over and I can’t wait to show it to all of you once it’s finished!
I just had the best week of my life. Thank you @wemovement for bringing so many amazing people together. Even though we were together for just a few days, our friendship with last a lifetime. The tears, the laughs, and the memories will always stay with me. The red ribbon will always keep us all connected, whether it is stretched from Mexico, Canada, and Germany. I have learned so much from meeting these likeminded people. You are all going to change the world.
There is always a reason to smile, for me, it’s this view. What made you smile today?
Someone told me that there are three C’s in life: choice, chance, and change. You must make the choice, to take the chance, if you want anything in life to change. #wanderlust
Thank you Dr. Sylvia A Earle. You have broken boundaries for women, protected so many marine species, and have inspired so many with your words. It was an honor to see you again and to hear you speak about your passion and love for our blue heart 💙🐠🌊
“A mile of road will take you a mile. A mile of runway will take you anywhere." — Unknown ✈️💓
Today was absolutely amazing. Thousands of people came together from across the globe to speak up for our oceans. The ocean doesn’t have a voice of its own and we need to be the voice for the ocean. Every second breathe we take is from the ocean, but our oceans are suffering. If we don’t all come together to save our oceans we will all become equally extinct. Thank you to those that came out or supported online, and hopefully our voices make waves! 💙🌊 #marchfortheocean #m4o #march4theocean
What an empowering weekend... I had the privilege to be a youth leader at the @oceanheroeshq boot camp in New Orleans. I heard so many amazing speeches and stories from all ages from all across the world. Can’t wait to see the change these ocean heroes make in their community! Look out world, these ocean heroes are ready for battle! #beatplasticpollution #oceanheroes And also hope everyone is having an amazing #worldenvironmentday 🌳
Had such an amazing time on our (secret) project with these “decent dudes”. Can’t wait to share what we have been working on for the past year! They all had amazing stories to share and a drive for what they do. Sure do love these guys and can’t wait to see where our project will take us next!
I took some time today to paint some happy thoughts onto a canvas 💓💐
What an incredible evening! I had the opportunity to speak and meet so many inspiring and compassionate people. Truly touched my heart 💛
What an amazing trip! Thank you so much @instagram for hosting the #kindnessprom and @christenndg for putting it together. Gonna miss these beautiful girls and the great memories we made on this trip. But most important we made a strong friendship that will last forever.🌟 Thank you for being such amazing friends to me @mayasideas @hailethomas @gabriellejordaninspires
Love the ocean and these amazing girls 💓Truly going to miss all the memories we made and all the laughs we shared. Can’t wait to see where they go in the future!
