I had a really fun day with @jetblue helping with the opening of their Soar with Reading program and vending machines across NYC! Kids will be able to take as many book as they want, including mine. All the books are 100% FREE. They are available for the entire summer at the 6 locations across the city. Thank you for including my book among these titles❤️ #1000blackgirlbooks
Thanks Haiti for showing me the beauty of the Caribbean.
I hardly have words to describe our trip to Haiti. I am grateful to the teachers and students at the Love In Action school for embracing me, Olivia, and the GrassROOTS Team. Giving away a cow, goats, as well as copies of my book is far beyond my wildest dreams. #WhatOrphansWant #investingirls #supergirls
Today is day one of my posts for the #WhatOrphansWant trip to Haiti! This is @_.oliviaraymond the creator of the project and practically my little sister. More pictures coming soon! #investingirls #supergirls

Happy father’s day to @scottynevers !! You really are my homie and you make me smile everyday and always find a way to brighten up a bad day. You are creative, strong, funny, kind and so smart. You and mom make me better everyday (even when I am irritated) and I am so thankful for you ! keep swiping for our selfies :)
The reason for my work. We all deserve to be the main character of our lives. #1000blackgirlbooks
Even with bad weather, I had a really great time at the ribbon cutting of the Far Rockaway Ocean Bay Apartments ! This project is providing new homes for over 4,000 residents and I couldn’t be happier to speak to them about how my passion turned into a career💛 #1000blackgirlbooks
I am young black girl with parents whose families are from immigrant families. I live in a diverse community where some of my friends range from politically conservative to very liberal. I spend my time talking to different audiences from different walks of life and I share the same message to both: diversity and inclusion matters. Each of our voices must be heard to create the communities we dream of. We must listen to and learn from each other. By talking to and learning from each other we can reduce our biases, but we must pledge to tackle them! I took the #iacton pledge with @ceo_action Will you? Click the link in my bio to take the pledge today. Let's break down the barriers that separate us.
Good morning Kentucky🦋 So excited to be here for #empowerkentucky
Imitation is really the highest form of flattery. I feel so happy that kids younger than me feel inspired by me. Thank you @cynthia.ranae for creating this💗
Being on the #dreamitreal podcast for the @Coach Foundation with @hebennigatu was so much fun! I have only done one other podcast previous to this and they was 3 years ago. This is one of my favorite interviews I’ve done in a long time. We talked about purpose, food, school, friends and so much more. It was such an honor to be the final episode closing out a season 1. so great to be included along side people like @michaelbjordan. Click the link in my bio to listen💓

mariana forgot to wear yellow😭 this is really just an appreciation post for how much fun track is but we looked cute !!
my skin has done a complete 180 since October 2018 !! swipe to see the changes #transformationtuesday •I first started getting acne at the end of 7th grade but it really started to worsen from the end of 8th to the beginning of 9th grade. I would cry about my skin and it made me feel less than beautiful. At times I even felt that my skin was gross. As much as it is a natural part of being a teenager, I spend a lot of time on camera so all I wanted was for it to go away. Thanks to @cleanandclear, a lot of water and face masks, time in the sun, track practice and my dermatologist, I have been able to transform my skin and now it’s healthier. I am so happy. It is really difficult to be vulnerable about it because I felt so ashamed for a long time but I hope this is a message to every teenager with acne. It may suck right now but it will get better. Though it gets hard remind yourself as a I have had to many times: beauty is more than your skin.
I had to use hotel lotion so I know I’m going to be ashy in 30 minutes😔 Still excited for my cousin Lindsay’s sweet sixteen !!

I think I’m growing on her! Thank you so much to @jacqueline_woodson for being my “fairy god mother” from the beginning of the campaign to now. You are my family, my friend and my number one fan. Thank you for what you have done for me and my ideas❤️ #wcw #1000blackgirlbooks #browngirldreaming
I know you guys are tired of seeing front yard pictures, so I took one in my dad’s boat🤫
It’s been almost 3 years since @lmnopimaize made this beautiful mural of me outside of Ps 92 Mary Mcleod Bethune elementary school in Harlem. Still shocks me that someone actually made art about #1000BlackGirlBooks
I bleed. Period. As hard as it is sometimes for me to talk about these issues, I am committed to doing my part to end the shame that comes with talking about periods. I am also happy to do my part to help #endperiodpoverty. No girl should have to choose between her period and her education. Today was really an amazing day. Thank you @herflow @drsexyann and @grassrootsfound for making it possible. I learned so much. Special thanks to the great girls and staff at St James High School in Montego Bay. I appreciate your kindness. #investingirls
I don’t usually write long posts, but this one really matters. I am on my way to LA to celebrate my LITTLE Big Sis. I am infinitely proud of and happy for you. You are showing the world the power of girls and the brilliance of black girls. While others are talking about the importance of representation you are DOING the work. Thanks for showing the world that black girls stories like black girls lives, matter. I love you @marsaimartin
what can I say I’m a polo girl❤️
Thank you @forbes for featuring me on your change makers list! It is so wonderful to be recognized amongst other young change makers❤️
