It’s #WorldHumanitarianDay and I’m interrupting your manic Monday commute home to take a moment for the courageous hero’s that lost their lives fighting for ours. In my opinion, leaders aren’t always the ones with millions of followers & blue ticks. Most, through their unwavering efforts of encouraging peaceful reconciliation internationally & being the fearless leaders of voiceless victims, have made the world a better place but sacrificing theirs. Here’s a moment dedicated to: Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, Gandhi, Jane Goodall, Nelson Mandela, Malala Yousafzai... the list goes on.. - “Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive.” - The Dalai Lama
When I need to get my tan kick started I always go to St Tropez. Their proof tanning gel is super easy to apply, leaves your skin hydrated and unlike most other tanning products this one smells of tropical summers and doesn’t transfer! There nothing like glowing skin for a self-care boost #AD @sttropeztan
Not related to this image (it just goes with my feed) BUT... whilst flicking through my instastories I’m noticing an increase in people who only record themselves with a filter on. Don’t get me wrong, filters can be fun. But filters are not your face. You are not an avatar. You are much greater then a bland, beauty-blended version that morphs you into the masses. Why is there a disconcerting desire to look like everyone else? I flick away from those stories. I no longer recognise the people behind the lense. Please, never believe your face is only worthy with a filter on it. You’re living, breathing, way more interesting then you appreciate. You have a voice & something to say. Even if you haven’t figured out what, just yet.
What gives me confidence? Wearing clothes that make me feel it.
Yesterday my friend sent me a poem. It was soft yet strong, beautiful and powerful. It spoke about loneliness differently, something we don’t have to run away from. You can stop, turn around and walk gracefully towards. It deserved more then 24 hours in my stories. Swipe right 🔗
Everyday we are flooded with images of idealised beauty standards. Airbrushed bodies, flawless skin. Industries thriiiive off exacerbating our insecurities AND our constant need for self improvement. - I often have to catch myself slipping. Then remember, there’s nothing like the real thing.
An inbetween look for when the weather can’t decide if it’s summer yet #GlobalWarmingIsReal. - Wearing all @topshop #TopshopStyle #OurStyle #AD
When was the last time you said table for one please ☕️ .... The quickening pace of life and hurried chase towards the ever moving goal post or next distraction was the best excuse to escape from getting to know myself. Because it’s scary. It’s confronting. Who are you, when you’re on own, stripped from a duty or someone else’s title? - Giving myself the space to get to know me is one of the most empowering things I’ve ever done. - When was the last time you spent time in your own company? How did it feel? What did you do?
On my recent ig story question, I asked what you guys would like to see more of on my main feed: “body positivity” was a common theme and something I’ve spoken about since the birth of this account. I will always champion this even though it frustrates me that we are still talking about our body.... When in fact, I’m the most confident when I’m not focusing on my body. When I’m focusing on living my life!! Being mentally strong, crafting a skill, ticking off bucket lists, exploring the world, feeling deeply, laughing loudly, being every part of who I am & nothing to do with what I look like. - When you play the chasing beauty game you’ll never win and then comparison seeps in. Sooooo, what do you do? - Share your tips for staying body positive below. 🖤
Top tip for getting into running? Find a crew - a group you feel safe to start in. Its motivating having someone you’re accountable to. You’ll make friends AND company makes the time pounding the pavements fly by! - I had the pleasure of running with @adidaslondon runners club (check them out) they run weekly & it’s for women of all abilities, from all walks of life. - If you’re reading this thinking, “I like the idea but, I can’t run”...YOU CAN!!! Set yourself up for success and remember starting is half the battle. 🏃🏻♀️ #AD #fitnessmotivation Fitness doesn’t look like one thing.
Completely lost with outfit choices in this heat however heres one of my looks from Italy. Casual, comfortable and as always, embracing the curves. #AD #OurToshop #ToshopStyle #Perugia
Yesterday I had the pleasure of chairing a conversation for @hearstglobal with front runners in the mental health space! @clairesanderson & @tobywisemanuk are the Chief Editors of @womenshealthuk & @menshealthuk. They both introduced mental health into the popular magazines showing us its as equally important as our physical health & integral part to a happy, healthy lifestyle. - We also had @themindmedic who has a ton of bitesize practises we can easily adopt to stay mentally well and last but not least @mrjonnybenjamin. Immediately on meeting him he was placed in my personal hit list of top male, mental health campaigners. I’ve also contributed to special project of his coming out soon.📖👀 - Swipe to see a small snap shot of the talk. Channeling my old career experience - going into teacher mode 😅
Thanks for having me on your stage @meltfestival talking about “being a positive influence(r)”. I had the best weekend in the coolest location! 🌪🎼💿🗜🎚🔩⛓
My names Jada Sezer. If you’re just joining me, hiiiii! I’ve been around for the last decade creating content on a platform called Instagram. To my OG’s whatsupppp! Essentially, I’m an optimist. But largely I just want to remind people how strong they are and always capable of being. I studied the human psyche, specifically child & adolescence psychotherapy....But in my heart I’m a creative not a doctor. So I created content. Pictures speak so loudly. I directed my own shoots, posting the images online and also stood in as the (unconventional) model. Because why not? Models are just people. (It’s also my page, so YOLOOOOO) But seriously, why shouldn’t all types of people be seen in all spaces? I then accidentally became a model. Like, a real one! With an agent and a portfolio, who went to castings and lived in New York. WTH? *Imposter syndrome* I modelled for a number of big brands. But the one my 15 year old self is truly proud of is a billboard in London for Loreal makeup that had a huge slogan encouraging us all to transform our “self doubt into self worth” because “we are ALL worth it”. We are. ALL. WORTH. IT- In so many ways. Running became an interest & a tempting challenge. So I ran the 2019 London marathon - in my underwear, because fit people have fat on their bodies. Yup. It’s true and now you can see it!! We have to SEE IT, to know we can BE IT. Then 900 of you joined me in a 10k run, in your underwear too!!! You have to SEE IT to know YOU can be it. NOONE CAN STOP US! I like to understand what gives us inner strength, how we find it, access it & most importantly protect it. Over time I met phenomenal women who do that. Our convos were recorded and shared on a podcast ( @unsubscribethepodcast) for you. I became an ambassador for Young Minds because the kids of today are the leaders of tomorrow. We’ve got to look after them, unconditionally. All of the above was worth every rejection & skeptical eye roll. You can’t wait for someone to open the door for you, you have to create your own. There’s still so much more to do & more that can be done. I hope you never get fed up of being reminded: You are strong. You are loved. And you belong!
As much as I’m enjoying the festival weekend I can’t wait to get back into swim training. When I take time out of something it always feels so daunting returning to what seems like the start. But I guess that’s the infinite game. It endlessly begins again & again. It’s ok to feel weak or out of practise, just keep starting. - Wearing @unikaswim costume Song ‘Water’ by @sudanarchives
Unfortunately I’m no longer in Italy where this was taken, I’m in the back of car driving cross country to @meltfestival where tomorrow I’ll be on stage talking about: “Being a positive influence(r)”. - Tbh I’m not sure what that topic really, truly, fully entails and I don’t know how long I’ll be able to wing making a career out of ‘it’. But what I know for sure is their isn’t life without purpose and purpose isn’t found in pretty dresses. (Although I do also appreciate a pretty dress, this ones from @houseofsunny). #DifferentKindOfInfluencer #PurposeLed
At last weeks European premier of the #LionKing. My sister took me to see this as a child & I cried when Mufasa died. I can’t lie and say I wasn’t tempted, everyone is aware that the coverage LI gets makes you an instant focal point to millions. Contestants know by signing up they have a sell-by date of 12 months to cash in before the new series turn heads. Now more then ever, contestants are aware of the instant fame. - So yh..I was tempted by possibly finding lurveee & the momentary popularity which could open doors and help me speak louder about being kinder (to ourselves). It meant being in rooms I’m currently not in, with people who have the ability to make long lasting change & shape our policies mainly around mental health and child protection. - ALSO & more importantly, as someone who had watched the show previously it was definitely time we saw someone above a size 10 basking in a bikini; confidently and in all their glory!!!! - But what’s the cost? Over exposure (in this case, to the entire nation) is extremely exposing. Trolls will say I’m unloveable & promoting obesity or an unhealthy archetype. But I’m ok with that, I’ve got better things to focus on then cellulite & your projected insecurities. Ask about my lifestyle, not the fat that sits on my body. Which if it was distributed on areas like my a$$ would be an entirely different narrative. - So this article is an open letter of some sort, to express our desire to be seen VS our ability to see ourselves. How do we show up - for us??? We definitely do not need a show or a tokenistic ‘plus size model’ to tell us we are worthy of love. All we can do is continuously show up for ourselves, time and time again.🖤
More from the Italy archives. More gratitude towards my body. More patience towards the slow, steady and sporadic road to self love.
Stripping down to take new polaroid’s. It’s something I’ve done for over 7 years of my career as a model - I still give myself the talk: You DO NOT need to change a thing. Who you are, is exactly who you’re meant to be.
Trying to swim every day, sweat at the gym, redefine beauty standards and still have a blow out that looks like this without washing my hair every day. #SomedaysFightThePatriarchy #SomedaysPracticalProblems - Blow dry by @davidandreigogoi at @kerastase_official Extensions by @hairrehablondon by the lovely @sophiehair__ @hairathomelondon Wearing @zara top & @jbrandjeans jeans

First ever open water swim. We made it 🏊🏻♀️The view wasn’t too bad either.
What I’d tell my younger self: You do not want to be like everyone else... One day those differences, will become your favourite features. It’s hard to see it right now, but hold on tight to precisely the pieces that make you who you are. #TopshopStyle #OurTopshop @topshop #AD
What a ray of sunshine, definitely feeling super positive after laughing through most of the hour with @1judilove for @bbcradiolondon tonight. We spoke about being the representative for diversity, how sharing our own personal mental health stories could help others and the weekly dilemma, dating... I’ll stop there. You can catchup on the show @bbcsounds. - Thanks for having me!
Obviously I never casually stand around like this but Serbia’s soviet concrete buildings were the perfect back drop for this minimalist brown dress from @lindexofficial - Love the fit! - Also, did you know they’re one of the most sustainable stores on the high street? ...Now you do 💫 #AD
At the launch of @ninugalotfoundation for world vitiligo day. It can feel so isolating being different yet (at the risk of sounding cheesy) that is your greatest power! So, you’ll always find me supporting those, that pioneer inclusive movements! - @ninugalot is also a loyal customer of @ferrari so made sense to host her celebratory gala at the London showroom. Do well. Do good #goals 🏎 🖤
Incorporating more neutrals into my summer wardrobe because it’s probably time I stopped asking ‘does it come in black’. Cute two piece from @topshop #OurTopshop #TopshopStyle #Ad
I’ve been binging on @estherperelofficial’s podcast and this line stuck with me. “Sometimes when people don’t feel worthy of love they need to be needed. If I can’t be loved. I will be needed.” This isn’t directly body positive but unhealthy habits form from initially not feeling good enough, they seep into the relationship with ourselves and the people around us. I highly recommend it if you’re not sure of the signs of an unhealthy relationship. You also know I love to share a good podcast! - Shot by @nat_michele on an @ilfordphoto #35mm #unretouched #unedited
Im not one to jump on any media storm bandwagon and draw attention to a brand for what some may argue, is just a cleverly timed publicity stunt. However, let’s hope the #plussizemannequin has prompted more brands to step out of their limiting methods of marketing and follow suit! - I’ve read the critics and NO, this does not ‘glamorise obesity’, it reflects reality!! The fat on someone’s body is not indicative of their health, ask about their habits??! This marvellous mannequin celebrates diversity & inclusivity in sport. Finally, we have all been acknowledged. - To the trolls that share their opinion under a misleading guise of care & concern; why does this make you so uncomfortable? Maybe you should join mine & @bryonygordon‘s next fitness adventure (tbc) and #CelebrateYOU too! - I’m now off swim some lengths & train for my next challenge 🏊🏻♀️

Still can’t believe I got to interview this international superstar & not only interview for interview sake; but discuss real matters of concern. Life is crazy. But I live for these conversations. Without acknowledging hard truths how can we learn? Without being vulnerable how can we grow? [Thanks @davebenett for the pic] xx
Today @moetchandon hosted the first @unsubscribethepodcast live event, in conversation with the truly talented @elliegoulding & @cassandragracey. 🖤 From her first small gig - to selling out Wembley Arena; Ellie is a true example to be brave with your dreams and confident that you’ll grow into the spaces that currently scare you.
