“Feel For” is still my favorite thing I’ve ever made. Watch the full video on @cultured_mag - link in my bio . . . “Feel For is a project by Kennedy Yanko featuring an immersive installation and collaborative performance with artist Nana Ya Asare Boadu. Now on view as part of the BRIC group exhibition, “Alchemy,” Feel For incorporates both repurposed industrial metals such as tin ceiling and as well as natural materials such as moss and water. This built environment provides a platform for Boadu to respond to. Her movements reveal the physical nuances of Yanko’s constructed space. Here, the two artists discuss the takeaways from their collaboration on camera.” - @jaejoseph . . Film by @anthonyprince_

@ninatiari is an incredibly talented young designer that I proudly call my friend! We sit around and touch materials, look at colors, organize and discuss compositions... when I look around me all I see is my loved ones living out dreams and being their truest selves. It’s an honor having the privilege to be amongst such brilliant kind souls. #kindisthenewcool #ninatiari #fw19 flowers by @lutfi_janania

With an upcoming milestone birthday of mine approaching, I'd like to recognize a cause that brings opportunity to people who've had their freedom taken away: Prison-to-College Pipeline-SA (P2CP). . . Not only does P2CP provide incarcerated students the opportunity to engage in something that offers them growth and stimulation while in prison, it also assists in their reintegration after they've finished serving their terms. The benefits of this program are multi-fold, and thus I ask for your support and donations in lieu of any birthday gifts you might be inclined to send my way. Turning 30 is great - contributing to this cause is better. . . A percentage of my sales from Cry of Victory and Short Walks to Freedom will go directly towards the P2CP Fund. **** LINK IN MY BIO*** . . Thank you guys for this incredible surprise party, It was my first bday ever and the best night of my life!

Please read below - and help by donating to PRISION TO COLLEGE PIPELINE - link in my bio - . . This month I'll be participating in a group exhibition that addresses our freedoms, and how they're being challenged in present day. The artists of this show are starting a conversation around pathways forward, creating space for reflection, and striving to raise community consciousness as a whole. . . Cry of Victory and Short Walks to Freedom, October 18 - November 24, 2018 ---------------------------- A group exhibition and public installation curated by Modou Dieng in conjunction with the national project For Freedoms at Projects+gallery. “Feel For”

KennedyYanko

“Feel For” is a new project by Kennedy Yanko featuring an immersive installation and collaborative performance with artist Nana Ya Asare Boadu @lalanana7 This project will be shown as part of the BRIC group exhibition, “Alchemy.” Incorporating the use of repurposed industrial metals such as tin ceiling and inherently natural materials such as moss and water, Yanko's work provides a built environment for the psyche to reimagine its dogmatic constructs. Boadu responds to the sculptural objects and landscape that Yanko actualizes, making the physical nuances of Yanko’s work palpable to the viewer. In her intuitive movement, Boadu demonstrates an elevated perception that transcends the conceptual structure of this piece. On view @bricartsmedia until July 28th - we’ll be doing a panel discussion July 11th - time TBD Video @anthonyprince_ sound @courtsidemvtthew Photo courtesy #jordanrathkopf
