As I head back out on assignment to the Alaskan Arctic again, I wanted to share my setup for technical outdoor gear on photographic expeditions. This is representative of what I bring along for assignments in the Arctic during the summer if there is a wildlife component. Items of note: A photography blind, tent stakes for both tundra and permafrost (titanium), stockingfoot waders, @xtratuf boots, InReach sat messenger, and @originalbugshirt. This is what I can get into a 120lb weight limit (with camera gear and clothing) for bush planes with limited weight capacity. #onassignment @natgeotravel #expedition

This is representative of what I bring along for assignments in the Arctic during the summer if there is a wildlife component. Not including any camera traps. All of this minus the tripod, solar system and drone fit into my carryon and personal item for airline travel. Coming next: Complementary technical outdoor gear. #onassignment @natgeotravel #photography
