The sparkle factor in the @touchinsolus Metallist collection* is on point, the pigments are super intense and sparkly, but the glitter toppers have been what I keep reaching for bc of the wet kind of sheen they give the eyes. I actually like using them alone, or over just a bit of bronzer on the eye, and omg I wish they were bigger because I can really pile this stuff on (it doesn’t patch off or get weird, just be sure to pat on rather than swiping for a more intense application!). I’ve see the pigments in my local Sephora, and I definitely recommend swatching them for full effect bc they’re gorgeous. I walked into Sephora for a sec today to get a look at all the new foundation releases, but got overwhelmed and left 🙈. Which one are you most interested in? I really want to try the Fenty one, but I’m waiting for reviews to roll in! *gifted
Weekend plans are to try as many of these @revolvebeauty goodies* as possible, although I already know/love/use the @playa hair oil alllll the time - the scent and texture is 👌🏼. I also tried out the @trestique highlighter a couple times this week and hot damn she’s pretty - apply it straight from the little tube for a more dramatic look or put some on your finger and dab it on the skin for something subtle. It feels powdery, but the light golden sheen is so good ✨. What are you up to this weekend? *gifted
sponsored I The humidity has been putting my hair through a mid-day slump where it basically flattens out on me and loses all of it’s lift, so I’ve been doubling up on my @evahairnyc Freshen Up Dry Shampoo for an afternoon hair fix 💨. I spritz into my roots and massage it in to help it evenly distribute and work some volume in, and then through the length of my hair to bring some volume back into my waves 🌊. It’s light enough to use often without it weighing things down or getting sticky, and the scent is fresh but doesn’t overpower. How do you freshen up your hair when it starts to lose some of it’s oomph throughout the day? #helloimeva #evanyc — Use code MELANIE15 for 15% off your order on the site!
Trying to shake this post-vacation haze, but at least I put a little makeup on today - and the @byterryofficial face brush* is so soft I just wanted to keep applying powder bc it felt like a little cloud ✨. I feel like I just need one more long sleep to feel human again, but until then I’m running on coffee and chocolate 🙃. (gifted)
I had been dying to try some things from @joshrosebrook for a while (especially the often raved about Hydrating Accelerator), and luckily it’s the brand featured in this month’s @thedetoxmarket Detox Box*! It includes a Serum Spray for the hair, the Active Enzyme Exfoliator and Hydrating Accelerator (a $101 value). I’ve only tested the Active Enzyme Exfoliator so far, which is a resurfacing mask that uses fruit enzymes and acids, as well as physical exfoliants and raw honey to soften and nurture the skin. I actually used it post-airplane to help reset my skin last night and followed up with a hydrating mask to seal it all in. I love the results, and don’t feel any irritation or harshness from it - it just helps with my texture and to smooth things out. It’s quite a thick paste that you massage onto the skin and then let sit for a bit before rinsing. I follow with a calming serum & my skin looks less dull and way more even 👌🏼. I’ll let you know how I get on with the mist & serum spray after more time, but I’m excited to finally give this brand a try! Do you have any recommendations from them that I should explore? *gifted
Trying to catch up on life after being away for 5 days but all I want to do is nap 😴. I have managed to do three masks and unpack my makeup bag, so that’s a start! I’ll put the skincare stuff I packed in my IG stories tomorrow before I put it all back - but I’m happy to be back with my full stash again 🧖🏽♀️. How’s your Monday going?
When you’re having fun on vacay but start missing the beauty products you left at home 🙃.
Out of office, be back soon 👋🏽
With all these gorgeous Euphoria makeup looks floating around, all I want to do is wear bright eyeshadow and rhinestones on my eyes, with glitter as my undereye concealer. I’m dipping all into the @colourpopcosmetics Orange You Glad collection* bc the super bright shades are exactly what I’m feeling like experimenting with. I used to think super warm, orangey colors looked weird on me, but I’m actually loving the super summery vibe ☺️. What makeup are you experimenting with lately? *gifted
Mondays, amirite? 🙃 Also, I got my first lash lift today! Let me know if you’re interested in hearing about the experience, and I can do a little post about it ✨. I’m also packing up for a trip and going super minimal with my routine, I’ll share what I’m bringing soon!
New to the makeup collection: @iliabeauty’s Fall 2019 releases*, and of course I dug into The Necessary Palette immediately bc warm neutrals are my everything. The shadows are buildable and blend seamlessly, and the gel liners are easy to smudge for a soft line, but once they set they stay put 👌🏼. Nice, classic essentials that are talc-free and cf 💕. Do you prefer cool tones or warm for your eye looks? *gifted
Just the essentials today ☀️. What textures do you prefer most for your SPF’s? I find that I gravitate towards the more liquid, milky options since they’re easy to layer without feeling super heavy, but I also like tinted one’s that have a slight slip and blur, and can serve as my base on low key days ( @mdsolarsciences has some of my favorite options for this). I love that there are so many to choose from these days, which are your faves?
Self-tan testing with these two from @tan_luxe ✨ (gifted). Their Face & Body drops are the self-tan products I reach for most often out of my lineup bc they’re basically fool-proof, so I’m excited to try even more. I’ve been really successful at staying in the shade this summer, so self-tanning is the only way I’m faking some kind of poolside glow. Do you have a favorite self-tanner?
sponsored | My summer hair routine is 90% dry shampoo and that’s how it’s probably going to be until this heat lets up 🥵. I have the @evahairnyc Freshen Up! Dry Shampoo on my counter and a mini size in my purse because I never know when humidity might strike and turn my styled hair into flat noodles – so I like to be prepared 🤗. It helps to pump volume back into my roots and refresh my hair while adding some shine also, and I like that it doesn’t make my hair feel straw-like or dried out like some others tend to do. If you want to give it a try, you can use my coupon code MELANIE15 for 15% off your order! #helloimeva #evanyc
🐚 Currently wearing: @theouai edp in Melrose Place*, with top notes of champagne, pink peppercorn and berry. It smells like their Rose Hair & Body Oil, and feels really bright and makes me want a mimosa 🥂. 🧖🏽♀️ Trying out: the @youthtothepeople Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toner*. I have no concrete thoughts yet, but I’ll share once I do! Have you tried it out? ✨ Slathering on: the @solbody shimmering dry oil* - and I LOVE the brush for application. 🍒 On my face: @lauramercier’s Radiance Perfecting Foundation*, which is actually such a wonderful color match and I love the finish on it. I need to do more thoughtful skin prep before I apply this since it can catch on some of my texture, but the right primer fixes it. I only need a sheer layer for some coverage, and it leaves a natural finish rather than matte or super dewy. What products are you excited about right now? *gifted
On my face today: @bareminerals Bounce and Blur blush in Coral Cloud*, @pytbeauty Full Filled lip gloss in Skinny Dip*, and sweat dripping in my eyes because this heat is so crazy. I’ve been doing super minimal makeup bc of the weather, and I LOVE that this blush formula doesn’t break up on me, and melts into the skin super naturally. Even when I’m getting hot and gross from being outside, it still holds up which is amazing, and it’s got a nice bouncy texture to it that blends out easy. Now, if you need me I’ll be drinking gallons of water and bathing in SPF 🥵.
A few of my current favorites ♥️. Keeping my nails simple, my hair fresh & my face glowing 🤗. Happy Saturday!
Ready for the weekend and long showers and midday naps 😴 - anyone else feel like this week was insanely long?
GIVEAWAY! #sponsored I feel like the skincare that makes the biggest difference in my skin texture are probably exfoliators, but finding one that’s effective but not too harsh has always been a mission. I love the glow I get from them but have to be careful about overdoing it, and the @naturallyseriousskin Get Even Cold-Pressed Peel Pads help me to target my texture and even out skintone while also feeling super soothing and not irritating at all. I don’t feel a tingle with these, but I can see the difference the next day when my skin looks more radiant & smooth. It uses pomegranate enzymes to exfoliate, smoothes with oleic and linoleic fatty acids, and includes sodium PCA to soothe. I can use these 2-3x a week (depending on how my skin is feeling), and they help keep my skin feeling balanced and calm – not sensitized. Plus they’re super easy to travel with - I throw a few in a stasherbag for when I need them. Now to the best part – we’re giving away the Peel Pads and more from the #naturallyseriousskin collection. Here’s how to enter to win the Get Even Cold-Pressed Peel Pads, Fruit-Tox Resurfacing Facial Remedy and Mineral Sun Defense Moisturizer SPF 30 (all avail @Sephora): 1. Like this post 2. Follow me & @naturallyseriousskin 3. Tag 3 friends! -- Giveaway is not associated with Instagram, and is US only. Must be 18+ to enter, and giveaway ends 7/24. Winner will be chosen at random.
On my nightstand, including the warmest, coziest candle* from @getmaude (that doubles as a massage oil) ✨, while I binge a zillion episodes of the Reply All podcast. What are you listening today? *gifted
On my vanity ft. my new favorite blush, @iliabeauty’s Color Haze in Sing*. Also still trying to decide if I should order Waking Up or Before Today next - any suggestions? A few people asked how it compares to the Glossier Cloud Paint - and the formula of Color Haze feels more creamy, and is more pigmented in that I can get more color payoff with one swipe vs. Cloud Paint. I also find this wears better on me and gets less patchy over time. I like both in their own ways, but the berry shade of Sing is my current go-to ✨. *gifted
#ad I’ve been a fan of @bastideofficial and their beautiful fragrances for a while, and now they’re launching their first skincare products! ✨ The two new releases work great as a duo or on their own, and they feel like the type of spa night essentials I like to reach for when I want some pampering – those types of nights where I sip on my tea, light a candle, and take some extra time for my routine. The Beaute d’Argile purifying clay mineral mask is gentle but effective at helping with congestion, and uses red rice extract to hydrate the skin, so there’s no dry or tight feeling after rinsing off. It also includes red clay, and is great when you want a quick treatment as it dries down fast and rinses off easy. The Elixir II is a nourishing oil for your face and decollete. It’s a blend of 9 oils and 6 extracts, and has a beautifully rich texture, using abyssinian and hazelnut oils to plump and hydrate. It’s perfect for using post-clay mask to help moisturize and boost radiance, and it feels amazing for a facial massage or with a roller! What’s your favorite way to indulge in your skincare routine? 🧖🏽♀️ #bastidebeautybreak
I have a weakness for lipglosses, and promptly snatched up the new @glossier shades while also still wishing they’d release a Gen G Leo type of neutral gloss shade (a girl can dream 🙏🏼). I like these bc they’ve got a super glassy finish that’s a little sticky but still comfortable. Both are pretty on their own, and the holographic glitters aren’t crazy and the red is super sheer, but they’re nice as toppers as well. My lip gloss collection seems to be overtaking my actual lipstick collection, but I’m not mad about it ☺️. — *my rep link is in my highlights if you’re interested 💕
Just me and my plants soaking up the early morning sunshine 🌿☀️. Have a beautiful Friday! 💕
Today’s SPF ☀️: @elizabetharden’s Eight Hour Daily Defense Moisturizer SPF 35*, a super comfy formula, no white cast and no sticky or heavy feeling 👌🏼 - no complaints here! Also thought I should highlight the @aveneusa Thermal Spring Water* that always lives in my gym bag - it feels so good to mist my face after working out until I can get home to get a good cleanse in. Usually when I leave hot yoga my face is red and feels super warm, so a cool mist feels like heaven. Do you keep skincare in your gym bag? *gifted
Today consisted of bingeing Stranger Things while also trying to dodge spoilers & digging into all this #uobeauty (gifted). I’ve got the blues about this long weekend being over, but I’m savoring every last minute and getting cozy to this cloudy weather rolling in. What was the highlight of your weekend? Mine was getting to eat my favorite Filipino desserts ☺️♥️.
In rotation: a new small-batch skincare range handcrafted out of LA, that’s vegan and cruelty-free! #sponsored There’s a bunch that @botanicalrepublic sent over, but these are the three getting lots of use in my routines and keeping my summer skin in check 😎. As the days keep getting hotter I feel like my skincare routines keep getting shorter and the layers lighter, so a mist like the Radiant Hydrating Toner is the type of simple, lightweight mist I like to reach for. It’s got 4 ingredients, including rose hydrosol and willow bark, and feels super refreshing and balancing 💦. Sometimes I’ll just layer on spritzes instead of grabbing different toners to keep things easy, and it would probably feel lovely fresh out of the fridge. For the PM I still (and will always) double up the cleanse, and their Nourish Hydrating Cleansing Oil works great to take off sunscreen and the light makeup I wear most days (for waterproof mascara I always go in with a separate remover bc it’s pretty heavy duty). It includes sunflower, apricot & avocado oil, and is more of a runny texture that rinses off clean and doesn’t feel stripping. I love that it’s not too rich, but gets the job done. I’ve been doing my second cleanse with the Revive Gentle Emollient Cleanser which is creamy and non-foaming. It includes calendula and meadowfoam seed oils, and feels soothing and gentle on the skin. It also rinses off without any residue left behind, and my skin feels super healthy and clean before going onto my next steps. Do you simplify your routine in the warmer months or keep things consistent all year long?
We’re both waiting for the bbq to be ready 🍴. But also, quick shoutout to the @livingproofinc color care whipped glaze* - they have one for lighter tones but I’m using the darker tones option and it’s helping keep the orangey warmth my dyed hair tends to lean towards from taking over. I’ve got a low key brown in my hair that seems to get lighter the more I’m in the sun, so this is nice for keeping the color from going wonky. My sister has blonde-ish balayage in her hair so I gave her the light version - I’ll let you know if she has any thoughts coming from a lighter hair color perspective! I never really thought about at-home trying to tone my hair (I always thought that was for blondes and lighter shades?) but I’m enjoying the results from this, even if it’s just a temporary fix! Enjoy the long weekend ♥️ *gifted
Feeling extra fancy with @sisleyparisusa on my face, but I’m really just waiting for my takeout to get here while I watch movie trailers on YouTube in my sweats. At least my bronzer looks good! Happy almost Fourth - I’m so ready to eat grilled food! 🍔🌭🌽 (gifted)
@stasherbag: my favorite way to pack up my frozen bananas and beauty products ✨. Also means less single use plastics, which is always something I’m working on. But the real question is - who’s excited about this 3-day work week?! (gifted)
Starting off July with some beautiful fragrances that @scentbird sent over, and their newest additions from Fresh! #sponsored This is my first time getting to try out the @freshbeauty fragrances, and I love that the vials give me a chance to test out several at a time and see how I like them. It’s nice to have the smaller refillable atomizer size versus the full bottle because it feels more manageable to finish up, and I can easily change my mind and pick a different one without feeling wasteful ☺️. My current perfume collection can feel a little overwhelming so I feel guilty picking up new bottles, but #scentbird gives me a way to try out a bunch of different fragrances and keep my collection from getting out of hand. The Fresh scents I’m trying out are: 🌞 Hesperides Grapefruit: This smells bright and crisp and citrusy, with notes of italian lemon, orange, grapefruit, bergamot, lotus flower, jasmine, rhubarb, musk & peach. It makes me think of a summer picnic in the shade, with gingham dresses and sparkling pink drinks. So beautiful and perfect for the summer season. 🌹 Rose Morning: a delicate floral fragrance, that mixes rose with notes of freesia, velvet musk and warm amber. It’s fresh and soft, and nice and light for everyday. ✨ Cannabis Santal: Has notes of wild strawberries, kumquat, dark plum, patchouli, magnolia, rose, chocolate, vetiver and vanilla musk. It’s warm and sweet and musky, and the patchouli really comes through to me. I can see myself making space in my collection for a bottle because I love the scent and the way it makes me feel when I wear it ♥️. What are you favorite summer scents right now?
Taking a post-lunch, pre-cocktail break for a quick touch-up & to slather on more sunscreen (@kravebeauty’s Beet Shield is today’s SPF of choice 😎). Happy Saturday!
A spread of @evahairnyc goodies that are giving me major summer, beach party vibes (even though the Color Sprays are fun any time of year). #sponsored You can go pink, or glittery, or just touch up your roots, and it all fits into your beach bag with room to spare for SPF & sunglasses 🕶(the Mini Dry Shampoo actually lives in my makeup bag most days, and it fits perfectly). I’ve been misting a bit of the Kweeen Glitter Spray on my legs and shoulders because why not be a little disco ball at the pool ✨, and it washes off super easy too. Are you a minimal beach packer, or do you come prepared for any situation? I think we can all guess what I am. ⛱ #helloimeva #evanyc
A full face of @colourpopcosmetics today (gifted), and then a scrunchie bc I had zero patience for any kind of hair styling this morning 🙃. I did try a new scalp detox product that I’ll chat about next week, and a color glaze to help tone down the warmth in my brown hair color, so I still gave this mane some good tlc 💆🏻♀️. Today’s one of those days that feels like Friday even though it’s not, but what are you looking forward to this weekend?
Red Earth is a brand I’ve gotten to know over time, from their sheet masks to lip colors, and now they’re available at Target! #sponsored Their skincare is made in Australia, and the whole range is under $25, including their Pink Coconut collection 🥥 which has a Cleansing mask that helps me with my t-zone congestion. The mask has kaolin clay to help with build-up, pomegranate extract, and aloe to soothe, plus the tube is huge for $15 and will last you forever. Once you apply, it dries down like a typical clay mask and rinses off easily without leaving my skin feeling dried out. Like with most clay masks, I prefer to spot treat areas, so my forehead, nose & chin are areas I like to target. I also like to apply clay masks on slightly damp skin, so I’ll grab a mist and do a few spritzes pre-application 💦! I’ve also been liking their lip scrub because it’s super gentle and moisturizing, and a little goes a long way. Yay for more amazing brands popping up at Target and making it harder for me to pass the beauty section! 🛒 #targetbeauty #redearthbeauty @redearth_beauty
Things I’ve been enjoying this past month: 🍉 Watermelon juice (cantaloupe juice is a close second) 🤸🏽♀️ Practicing my handstand 📻 Invisibilia podcast: I’ve binged every episode at this point and now I’m re-listening to some favorites 🧖🏽♀️ the @vennskincare Moisture-Balance All-In-One Face Cleanser: non-foaming, milky and a super gentle cleanse that mildly exfoliates. You apply it on your dry skin first and then rinse off, but I’ve been using it interchangeably as a first or second cleanse. (gifted) Do you have any favorites from June? ☀️
A #SelfcareSunday giveaway with @materiae by David Pirotta - a gorgeous online shop that curates beautiful little luxuries from candles to haircare and everything in between ♥️. Just a little touch up 🍓 (I also LOVE these on the cheeks - non-sticky and so vibrant) // #rouje
#sponsored My at-home spa nights are some of my favorites because I get to relax, unwind, take my time doing my routines, and catch up on Netflix while I mask and paint my nails 💆🏻♀️. Having that time and space for myself is my ideal way to end a long day, and can help me shake off some of the tension and anxiousness that I carried with me throughout the week. I usually kick those nights off with a thorough shower routine to steam away the day 🧖🏻♀️, and I’ll reach for the @evahairnyc Clean It Up Shampoo & Therapy Session Hair Mask as a big reset button for my hair. The shampoo is one I often grab for after the gym or especially sweaty days, and it’s a gentle, but thorough cleanse that leaves my hair feeling clean & light - I definitely feel like it helps lift the grime out of my roots. Since my hair leans on the drier side, the Therapy Session Hair Mask is a nourishing follow-up to help repair and strengthen without weighing down my ends. Both the shampoo and hair mask have argan oil and keravis, so my hair stays soft and shiny and manageable. Once I’m out of the shower, even if I’m not styling I’ll spritz a bit of Mane Magic 10-in-1 Primer as a leave-in since it helps with smoothing and detangling. It’s kind of like my catch-all spray – I use it before styling, as a detangler, or before bed just to bring a little life to my ends. What’s your favorite part of your spa nights? ✨ #helloimeva #evanyc
My new favorite earrings (out of the 3 pairs I actually own ✨). They’re like tiny fans to keep me cool in this summer heat 💦. — Sensu Earrings // @auratenewyork *gifted
Taking another moment of appreciation for my @artismakeupbrushes, bc they make this whole makeup getting ready thing so much faster and easier and seamless, which is all I’m asking for tbh 😊. I feel like I’ve been having to rush through my makeup lately (when I’m actually wearing any), and these are what I grab when I can’t be bothered to pull out all sorts of sponges & tools. They can be more of an investment, but if you’re interested you can get a 15% discount with code melaniegraves (affiliate). I use the Oval 7 most often, and the Oval 3 & 4 are nice for concealer bc I get more coverage than when I use my sponge which will soak up a bit of product. I need to figure out a better way to pack them in my travel bag so they don’t get all squished and grubby, but they’re 👌🏼. I’m super interested in their palm brush - has anyone tried it out?
#sponsored When everyone was tracking down what makeup Meghan Markle wore to her wedding, I was right there clicking *add to wishlist* as the details trickled out - and now I get to share some first impressions on a skincare product she apparently uses (and was recommended to it by Kate Middleton – nbd 🤗). They’re both from @beutiskincare, a UK based brand that focuses on healing and reducing inflammation. I’ve only been using these for a week so they’re still fresh in the testing zone, but here are my initial thoughts! ✨Pomegranate Glow Enzyme Cleanser: this cleanser is a gel balm that has a super light texture, doesn’t foam up, and hasn’t left my skin feeling stripped or dried out when I rinse it off. It rinses off clean, includes rose clay for cleansing, and fermented pomegranate for gentle exfoliation. I’ve been using this as a second cleanse at night, or my only cleanse on mornings when I work out, and I haven’t had any signs of over-cleansing yet (my skin can get quite irritated if I use a cleanser consecutively that’s too harsh for me). My skin feels clean after I use this but not squeaky, and you can apparently use this as a 5-10 minute treatment mask. I haven’t tried that method yet, but I’ll report back on more long-term use and how it fares as a mask! 🛌 Beauty Sleep Elixir: this is a rich, golden, nourishing facial oil that is a blend of 14 different plant-based oils. It includes some personal favorites such as seabuckthorn and pomegranate, and is the type of oil that I gravitate towards when my skin needs some healing, especially if I’ve gone overboard with the exfoliation. Since it has a thicker consistency and works well as a nighttime treatment, I’ve only been using it in my PM routines, and if you have dry skin or dry patches this is a soothing, restorative option. In the hotter months I like to use thicker oils like this just to spot treat the drier, irritated areas on my face rather than going all over. Definitely helpful to put a small dot on dry, textured areas pre-makeup to smooth things out. I’m excited to see how it works across seasons, I think it’ll give some great glow in the cooler months! 💦
A very summertime appropriate ✨giveaway CLOSED✨ with @belifusa and their Aqua Bomb Surf’s Up Set! 🏄🏽♀️ I don’t know what the weather’s like where you’re at, but it’s crazy hot here and light layers are all I can handle rn 😅. This set is full of summery faves that offer gentle cleansing, soothing gel textures, and lots of hydration. The set includes a full-size of the The True Cream Aqua Bomb (a longtime love of mine with a light gel texture) and deluxes of the Aqua Bomb Sleeping Mask, and new Aqua Bomb Jelly Cleanser (a gentle, non-stripping gel-to-foam cleanser). Here’s how to enter! 1. Like this post 2. Follow me & @belifusa 3. When the light hits just right ✨
Working from home doesn’t give me a ton of reasons to get dressed up since my coworkers are my cats, so usually I’m in some kind of comfy tee/legging/loose fit denim situation for days on end. But sometimes I want to dust off my dresses and give them a twirl, so I threw one on the other day just because, did my hair and makeup, and it was for no one but me, and it felt nice ✨. So this was me documenting that moment, and also the new-ish @freshbeauty Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash* that launched. I actually enjoy a physical exfoliator, and this uses sugar crystals to scrub which are small, but on the grittier end of the spectrum vs something like Paula’s Choice UnScrub, although softer than the Summer Friday’s mask for comparison. I like it - it smells like sweet jam, but it’s something that my skin only really needs probably once a week. The sugar crystals do dissolve as it works into the water, and you can add more water if you want a gentler cleanse. It doesn’t strip my skin, but I’m thinking it’s probably better suited for those with less dry skin than me! Have you tried it out? The packaging is totally adorable, and I’m curious to use it on my body since it smells so delicious 🍓. *gifted
#sponsored When I find myself perusing skincare products, anytime I see the words ‘calming’ and ‘soothing’ I find myself instantly intrigued and start reading up on details 🤗. Especially around the summertime, my redness and texture go a little haywire, and incorporating the @josiemarancosmetics Skin Dope into my PM routines to help bring some balance back has helped me simplify my steps as well. The oil is a blend of argan oil + 100 mg full-specturm CBD (THC free), and has a lighter texture but feels nourishing and healing enough to be my sole nighttime moisturizer (usually I’ll layer with a cream or mix them together, but this alone has been enough for me and sinks in nicely 👌🏼). I also typically use a calming serum, but I’ve been able to set that aside and let the oil serve as that relief to help soothe any inflammation after these blazing hot sunny days. This can be used on the body as well, but I enjoy it in my skincare routines since it’s not too heavy for the hotter nights, but still leaves my skin feeling plump the next day. Two ingredients combined that complement eachother well, and my summer skin is happy ☺️. @Sephora @SkinDope #Sephora #SkinDope
Just a few makeup favorites ✨. Also, I’m actually really looking forward to the rain in the forecast the next few days - don’t get me wrong, I love sunshine, but I’m excited about cozying up indoors and taking a pause from rushing around. What’s your favorite rainy day activity? I’ve begun a deep spiral into the Bon Appétit YouTube channel, so that’s definitely part of my plan 👌🏼.
Digging into a bunch of @thedetoxmarket goodies (gifted), and have been loving the new @paiskincare Light Work Rosehip Cleansing Oil so much! I’ve been so into cleansing balms lately, that this thinner, runny, lighter oil was a welcome change of texture and works well at removing my makeup (with some small remnants of waterproof mascara left behind, but my second cleanse usually takes care of that). I’ve only been wearing light makeup lately so I haven’t tested it on a full glam face, but so far so good 👌🏼. It doesn’t sting my eyes, emulsifies with water and washes off clean, and includes olive, sunflower & rosehip oils. I’ve just started testing the @piperwai deo and it smells great and hasn’t irritated my skin at all, although it’s a little sticky on application (it goes away after some wear). I still want to give it a go at hot yoga and see how it fares, but I’ll let you know! Hope your week is off to a good start - I was a bit sleepy and puffy today, but I embraced it and worked at a nice, slow pace ☺️. Now I’m all warmed up for tomorrow! 🤸🏽♂️
Today’s makeup spread, with the concealer that #YvesSaintLaurentBeautygiftedme, the Touch Eclat High Cover Radiant Concealer Pen ✨. I’m shade #4, and omg I’m so impressed! I can be finicky with concealers because I have super dark undereyes (I usually do some color correction) and lots of little wrinkles, but this shade has some peachiness in it, and offers beautiful coverage! I set it with powder like I do with every concealer, but it blended in so well, wore all day, and didn’t feel heavy or get cakey. A new favorite for sure, I honestly haven’t tried one better (and I feel like I’ve tried so many). I’m also enjoying this Laura Mercier Caviar Volume mascara layered with my LashBlast. It’s volumizing but still very natural looking, and super black - plus no flaking so far! Speaking of mascara, I gave the Marc Jacobs lash primer a try a little while ago and it was a total fail 😭! It made my curl drop in random places and they looked all wonky so I wouldn’t recommend unfortunately. Have you had any makeup fails lately? @yslbeauty #wantedforglow #yslbeauty #OctolyFamily
It’s Friday! And it’s a giveaway! 🤗 I have lots of love for facial rollers, especially as someone who constantly clenches their teeth and holds tension in their face (probably why people think I look serious all the time? THAT’S JUST HOW MY FACE IS!). I’ve used the ReFa tools for a little while now, and we want to give away their S Carat, which is a more compact version of the Carat Face, but really gets into the smaller contours of the face. It still offers that gentle kneading feeling when you work it over your face, but with this size I’m able to pinpoint specific areas, especially around my eyes and temples. It feels amazing in the morning when I’m trying to wake up my face and depuff, and I just facial roll while sipping on coffee and scanning e-mails – it’s super relaxing! If you want to give it a try, here’s how to enter: 1. Follow me & @refa_usa // like this post obvi ✨ 2. Tag 2 friends & comment your favorite SPF! *For 5 extra entries: share in your IG stories & tag me 🙋🏻♀️ -- Giveaway is not associated with Instagram. Open to US and Canada, and ends 6/5/19.
