I have an article on the recent work of @jessicaeat in the new issue of @blackflashmag, which is on newsstands this week. They just launched a new website (with content from the issue rolling out over the next couple months), but I've got permission to share the article right now. (Link in bio) This is kind of a big one for me, since the first feature I ever published in an art magazine was on Eaton's work, in BlackFlash, in 2010. It's a pleasure and a privilege to circle back and sit with her practice again, almost a decade later. The piece is about her, but it's also kind of a squint back over the last ten years of art -- where Jessica's work fits into it, and where it's going.
A couple new acquisitions.
This Life of a Craphead show at @centreclark is the best art show I have seen in ages. It is raw and funny and incredibly real about some heavy and painful subject matter. I’m not posting any photos of the exhibition’s most intense work, go see it yourself. 💯 🔥 🤡
Guillaume Adjutor in conversation with Julie Tremble and Guillaume B.B. at @fonderiedarling. I have an essay in the monograph on Provost that the Foundry is publishing in April!
Jasmina Cibic at @dhc_art. Quite an impressive show! Go see it before it closes on March 3rd.
From a zine published by Franco Berardi in 1977, quoted at the end of Mark Fisher’s unfinished introduction to Acid Communism. ✊🏼🚩
We stopped in Uayma to check out this amazing church!
Paloma with Grammy.
