The protein in eggs is considered the most bioavailable and thus, the gold standard. But how many are safe to eat? . The yolk is full of micronutrients such as choline that are crucial for optimal health. Also, removing the yolk because of fat only to replace it with some other source such as peanut butter is about the equivalent of chopping off your foot to run a race. . Studies have shown that consuming the whole egg results in greater stimulation of myofibrillar protein synthesis. Additionally, strength is shown to be increased independent of hypertrophy.💪 . Just as true today as it was when I made this video over 3 years ago. . #Repost @the_issn with @get_repost ・・・ Position Statement: The International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN) bases the following position stand on a critical analysis of the literature regarding the effects of diet types (macronutrient composition; eating styles) and their influence on body composition. The ISSN has concluded the following. 1) There is a multitude of diet types and eating styles, whereby numerous subtypes fall under each major dietary archetype. 2) All body composition assessment methods have strengths and limitations. 3) Diets primarily focused on fat loss are driven by a sustained caloric deficit. The higher the baseline body fat level, the more aggressively the caloric deficit may be imposed. Slower rates of weight loss can better preserve lean mass (LM) in leaner subjects. 4) Diets focused primarily on accruing LM are driven by a sustained caloric surplus to facilitate anabolic processes and support increasing resistance-training demands. The composition and magnitude of the surplus, as well as training status of the subjects can influence the nature of the gains. 5) A wide range of dietary approaches (low-fat to low-carbohydrate/ketogenic, and all points between) can be similarly effective for improving body composition. 6) Increasing dietary protein to levels significantly beyond current recommendations for athletic populations may result in improved body composition. Higher protein intakes (2.3–3.1 g/ kg FFM) may be required to maximize muscle retention in lean, resistance-trained subjects under hypocaloric conditions. Emerging research on very high protein intakes (>3 g/kg) has demonstrated that the known thermic, satiating, and LM-preserving effects of dietary protein might be amplified in resistance-training subjects. 7) The collective body of intermittent caloric restriction research demonstrates no significant advantage over daily caloric restriction for improving body composition. 8) The long-term success of a diet depends upon compliance.

AWEOME TRANSFORMATION!!. . Great job @war_the_destroyer #Repost @war_the_destroyer with @get_repost ・・・ Today marks 2 months of my 3 month body transformation! 254 fat lbs on the top left. The other 3 pics are 229 lbs at 15.5% bodyfat where i sit today. I actually got down to 223 but have put on a lil lean mass since. I’m not so worried about the number anymore just trying to grow lean tissue and lose this fat ass belly! Working my ass off. I do 9 weight sessions per week 3 days are two a days . 3 days are singles. I do @stanefferding vertical diet religiously . I sleep my 6-7 hours a night and nap every damn day from 2-3 pm. I am on trt therapy with low t nation. No longer suffer from crippling anxiety and depression or the test level of a 60 yo man thanks to that lol. I follow my drs recommendations and advise to optimize my health the short time I have on this planet . Life is looking up folks!! It takes all that to be successful. Take out one piece of the puzzle it all falls to shit!

When I met Rob Kearney @worlds_strongest_gay at the Worlds Strongest Man, I asked him how he was able to compete at such a high level in the land of the giants where he gives up almost a foot in height and over 100 pounds in weight to some of these guys. . When he told me he trains with Derek Poundstone @derekpoundstone that’s all I needed to know!!. . Very few people on the planet have pushed themselves as hard as Derek did and now he’s pushing Rob to new levels. . I talked about this exact scenario in my Rhino’s Rhant #7 “The real reason Westside Barbell athletes are so strong”.. . A great coach can bring the best out of an athlete. . Flex Wheeler @officialflexwheeler pushed me harder than I ever thought I was capable. Talking me through utter and complete exhaustion when my trachea was collapsing from trying so hard to breathe and recover between sets. Making me look at him and listen to him as he talked me through inhaling deep through my nose and exhaling through the mouth while he counted out loud to time my breathing. Then when I recovered, he made me do another set. That’s how I won my IFBB Pro card. . When I set my World Record squat in sleeves, I had opened with an 821 and it was an absolute grinder so I told @marksmellybell I was going to stop there. He quietly turned and told Jesse @jesseburdick to notify the scoring table to pass on my second attempt and put in an 854 world Record attempt for my third. Mark stayed in my ear for the next 15 minutes, his shoulder to mine, calmly reassuring me and talking me through visualizing everything we had done to get there, building me back up and then walking me back out to the platform. That’s how I set my World Record!! . Moments like those are even greater than the achievement itself. . Great things are rarely achieved without a great coach, a great training partner and a great husband or wife supporting you along the way. . Rob has all of those things and he works his ass off so it’s no surprise he’s standing amongst giants!!

I recommend vegetables in the Vertical Diet. . Having said that, performing optimally for competitive athletics as a Vegan is the exception not the rule. I’ve seen way more failures than successes. It almost always catches up with them. . This highlights that with good genetics, +/- drugs, hard work you can be an athlete but in no way allows you to reach your true potential as a vegan! @schwarzenegger , we are NEVER giving up meat- the bullshit about saving the planet is complete garbage! These guys are two resources whose content I’ve been following for years and whom I’ve learned so much from so to see them present in person was an amazing experience. I’ve literally run countless Mountain Dog Training programs, been apart of John’s subscription site and private forum for years and am very familiar with Stan as well, as I’ve read his original Vertical Diet book front to back multiple times so I wasn’t sure how much new info I would get from this seminar but I wanted to go just to see them speak and deliver their messages in person. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the updates Stan has made to his Vertical Diet (now in it’s 3rd rendition) and entertained by the many personal stories John shared about his competing days and 16 national show pro card chase. The best part about these two is that they both know the research, have applied it to themselves and hundreds of clients in the real world (not just in the contexts of the lab) and provide actionable items which we can realistically incorporate into our daily routines to optimize their our programming and maximize our potential. ————————————————————— Shoutout to my guys @coalitionnutrition for bringing these two legends out to the Northeast this weekend and setting this event up. Canada was awesome ... except for this one really annoying guy that kept bugging me 😂. Thanks @superjackedginger. . #Repost @superjackedginger with @get_repost ・・・ Yesterday I was doing at demo at #fitcon in Ottawa. I was doing a demo for my work at @popeyes_ottawa . I was just excited to show off some products. I jokingly said to my boss the only way I would see a presenter is if Stan Efferding was there @stanefferding When I went to look on speaker list for the day, to my incredible surprise Stan was one of the speakers. Talking about his famous #verticaldiet . I slipped in to his presentation and mange to grab a photo with him and asked him a question. Later that day he was walking around the convention, I man up again (with some help from my boss @cjcrudz ) went over and was determined to talk to him. He was not only incredibly approachable he was also very interested in my question. Not once did I feel like he was just talking to me cause he had to or I was bugging him. I even managed to ask what his plans were for later, and he told me he would be back at the convention after he trained if I wanted to talk some more. So I came back later asked him some more questions and not once did I feel like he was annoyed he showed true passion for his work and continually pushing forward his knowledge. He then post on Instagram that he would be lifting at #movatitrainyards the next day and I took the opportunity and went to see him again. He was super encouraging and gave me some amazing tips on my squat. I ended up hitting 335 for three reps for barbell back squats(which I wasn’t sure I could do.) He was supper knowledgeable and helped me and the 4 other guys there in between him hitting 5 plates for 5 reps for 3-4 sets. Thanks so much Stan I appreciate it and tried my hardest to soak up everything you said to me over the past two days. . . . I used to think everything that happened to me was because of luck. I truly believe now that life presents us with doors and it is our job to open them and take as many shots as we can.
