@prideinsheffield has been amazing so far! Three brilliant people came up to us, introduced themselves as lesbians and asked for t-shirts to support trans people. We were floored - it was emotional for us was to see #LWithTheT in action. So many of you came and told us your #HopeForLGBTEquality, from across generations. When you #ComeOutForLGBT, you can really make a difference for years to come. Thank you everyone who has played a part in this. 💕

Leigh-Anne & Jade from @LittleMix are marching with us today 🏳️🌈 #TogetherInPride #PrideInLondon
Today we march at #PrideInLondon not just as Stonewall, but as a collective. We are #TogetherInPride, a movement celebrating our community’s diversity and the power we can harness when we face our obstacles together. We will march as one with Level Up, FTM London, Mermaids, UK Black Pride, Imaan - Muslim LGBTQI Support, Sparkle - The National Transgender Charity and ParaPride. “The #TogetherInPride coalition embodies the full diversity of our community and the power that comes when we all stand together as one united movement. At a time when powerful forces seek to divide us, we know solidarity is needed more than ever” - Stonewall CEO Ruth Hunt. We wanted to honour the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising and give thanks to the people who led it and created the modern LGBT movement we know today. Many of those involved in the uprising were part of groups who continue to exist today at the margins of our community and for whom #Pride isn’t yet a celebration but an act of defiance. Join us today in solidarity 🏳️🌈
Today marks #Stonewall50, the uprising that sparked a global push for LGBT rights and from which we take our name. Our work is made possible by those brave members of our community who fought back and continue to fight back today. We continue in their name.
By the end of July, we will have a new Prime Minister. Want trans equality to remain at the top of his agenda? Take 5 minutes to write to your MP, and add your voice to the clear demand for GRA Reform across the country! #ComeOutForTransEquality #LinkInBio

“I hope that our daughter will grow up in a world where she is accepted, loved and not judged. As the daughter of a bi-racial lesbian couple, I want her to find a tribe she identifies with and grows into the strong woman we hope she will be. I want her to never shrink herself to please anybody else, to live loud and proud.” – Caprice and Holly Fox As part of the #Stonewall30 birthday celebrations, we have picked some of the key moments for LGBT people and their families in the last 30 years. What about you - what's your #LGBTmoment? Tell us in the comments below.

“Change is coming slowly but it is very slow because there’s much to be done both in terms of securing attitudinal change and in providing the necessary support. As the grandparent of three young children all of whom are under five, I expect, and will seek to ensure, that each one can fully express their sexual and gender identities as citizens with equal rights without hindrance and without fear of the consequences.” – Suzanna As part of the #Stonewall30 birthday celebrations, we have picked some of the key moments for LGBT people and their families in the last 30 years. “We have a little boy who is currently three years old and a little girl who is nearly one, so we would really like to see them living in a world without prejudice towards LGBT people. We would like to remove the worries that all same-sex parents probably have about their children going to school and being teased for having two dads or two mums. We feel that the normalising of LGBT issues is the way to really make big changes to the way people think – it doesn't create conflict, it gives them a chance to open their minds. We’ve also just put together a blog that tells the full story of our route to having a family, including the different emotions felt at each stage, not just what the actual adoption process entails. We know something like this would have been so helpful when we were considering a family, which is why we want to do this to support any member of the LGBT community who’s considering the same thing.” – Richard and Lewis As part of the #Stonewall30 birthday celebrations, we have picked some of the key moments for LGBT people and their families in the last 30 years. What about you - what's your #LGBTmoment? Tell us in the comments below.
Happy 30th birthday to Stonewall! We were founded in 1989 to oppose Section 28 and the widespread homophobia it caused, and to change hearts and minds. We fight now, as we did then, till all LGBT people are accepted without exception. Read our 30 milestone moments 👉#LinkInBio #Stonewall30

A damaging decision for women’s sport that’s based on misinformed debates about what women’s bodies should be capable of, rather than what they are capable of. We stand with @castersemenya800m. #LinkInBio
20 years ago today, and in a heartbreaking attack on our community, a bomb was detonated in the Admiral Duncan, killing 3 people and wounding many more. We continue our fight for acceptance without exception, in memory of those we lost on that day and in all attacks like these.

“On this #TransDayOfVisibility I'll be reflecting on my own journey. A year ago, I walked into my workplace as Kaz for the 1st time. Not to be sniffed at as it's one of the biggest and well-known engineering companies around! Since that day (an awareness event) I have gone full time and found total acceptance from my work colleagues. I am now highly visible at work and have much to look forward to, including attendance at the British LGBT+ awards, where a fellow trans employee is up for a 'Diversity Hero' award. And I'm just about to shoot a mini-film featuring me, promoting our LGBT+ network 'Prism'. It's great to work for an inclusive employer. Even dragons don't scare me these days!” - Kaz, supporter #TDOV #ComeOutForTransEquality #withtheT
"Personally, #TransDayofVisibility is one of my favourite from the LGBTQ calendar - so much of the focus on trans people is done through a negative light. We're constantly bombarded with statistics and tragedies, that we often forget about the trans people around the world living their lives as happy, fulfilled, and inspiring members of the community. #TDOV is a day where we can acknowledge the diversity of our experiences and celebrate not just the ground-breaking progress that we've made towards acceptance, but also celebrate the ordinary. We can revel in the lives of everyday trans folk, out or not, and just... enjoy! So to the trans people out there reading this today, remember that you are loved, you deserve to celebrate, and you are simply enough." - Emma, activist https://emmaunderwood.wordpress.com/ #ComeOutForTransEquality #withtheT
Happy #TransDayOfVisibility! "Pride is now the single largest cross-community event in Belfast but that would never have happened if it weren't for the 100 or so people who took to the streets for the 1st @belfastpride in 1991. Their courage was & still is inspiring." - @FergalMcFerran, Our Northern Ireland Client Account Manager, on his #LGBTheroes #LGBTHM19
